edbassmaster Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Thats sweet. I was just watching the St Pierre Serra fight on YouTube...CRAZY!! I dont even think GSP showed up to the fight...but my hats off to Serra. Quote
Ninerman Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 cant wait either....the fight is free because they are fighting in England and to have it as a pay-per view it would be on WAY to late here in the states...but they should do that a little more often... Quote
Super User 5bass Posted April 15, 2007 Super User Posted April 15, 2007 at ufc im not sure what Number but its going to be tito ortiz vs dana white ufc badass vrs ufc owner. That has already happened. Quote

It was supposed to be on HBO, but the deal fell through. HBO wanted to do the production of the show and Zuffa does it all in house. They couldn't come to an agreement in time so it will be on spike. I can't wait to see Crocop smash Gabrielle Gonzaga. For those of you that are into MMA, check out some of the Pride FC fights on youtube. I've been a fan for a long time and while it's great to see the UFC bringing MMA into the public spotlight, the talent in Pride is on another planet. The Fertitta bros who own the UFC just bought Pride in Japan so if you haven't seen any Pride fights, you will soon. Quote
Ninerman Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Tito never showed for the weigh in so it never happened...the 1 1/2 hour special and no fight... > Quote
Super User 5bass Posted April 16, 2007 Super User Posted April 16, 2007 Tito never showed for the weigh in so it never happened...the 1 1/2 hour special and no fight... > Yeah, I watched the whole show waiting on the fight that never happened. I still think Tito would've hammered Dana. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted April 16, 2007 Super User Posted April 16, 2007 Glad i didnt stay up for the whole thing then....I woulda been peeved Quote
BadKarma42 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I Tivo'd the Bad Blood fiasco. Glad I didn't stay up to watch it. I heard that with UFC purchasing Pride, that there may be more free events on Spike like this weekend and then the PPV will be "Super Fights" with big name guys fighting each other. Potentially no more under-card crappy fights. Quote
deadeye32. Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 That Bad Blood thing was a joke. I stayed up to watch and went to bed so mad. I must say Dana does have ***** even though I think he would have got destroyed. Tito had no reason to show, he was in a lose lose situation and if Dana would have made just one run, his reputation would have been destroyed. Quote
jomatty Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 i ddint realize that ufc purchased pride. will they still be run as two completely seperate organizations. if couture had to fight fedor it would be a sad day... maybe now everyone will get a chance to see what a real heavyweight champ looks like after watching silvia for so long. Super User Redlinerobert Posted April 17, 2007 Super User Posted April 17, 2007 I'm not much into these fights but for free, I will watch it. I'm more into boxing. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted April 18, 2007 Super User Posted April 18, 2007 I'm not much into these fights but for free, I will watch it. I'm more into boxing. I was a boxing fan for many many years, then all the different commissions got into a rock throwing contest with each other and it brought pro boxing down to almost nothing. UFC/Pride will soon take over pro boxing if it hasnt already. You know when ESPN shows highlights of a UFC PPV the very next morning and when they interview UFC fighters on the daily radio shows.....something big is about to happen. ESPN can see whats coming. tipptruck1 Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 UFC is so big right now it has a spin off well sort of. I saw a promo for extreme cage fighting the other night on oln. Why dose every thing have to have extreme in front of it? It dosn't make it any better. Quote
