logger Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Do Cabelas or bass pro shops price match on products? Also does Bass Pro Shops send out promotion discount codes like Cabelas does, if so what do I need to do to get on that mailing list? Just curious, I am getting ready to drop a chunk of money and want to get the best deal I can. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 13, 2007 Super User Posted April 13, 2007 I have never gotten a discount code from BPS. And I spend entirely too much there. Not as much as some, but enough to get someone's attention (namely my wife ) Quote
Fisher of Men Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Logger, The Cabela's in Fort Worth, Texas did for me. I had a Cabela's gift card that someone gave me and I wanted to buy a trolling motor bracket (around a $25 purchase). BPS had it for $10 cheaper and I asked if they would match that price. They said they would. I'm sure either company would match the other's price on the same brand/type of item, especially if you were spending a chunk of change. IMO, if they won't match then don't buy it from them and let them know you are walking. If they don't want my business, then I won't give it to them. I think in the current outdoor market (with Academy's, Gander Mountains, BPS, and Cabela's popping up everywhere) they can't afford not to. -Fisher P.S. I'm never afraid to bargain with any retailer. It never hurts to ask (even on lower priced items). All they can say is "No". Quote

michbass Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 At bass Pro if you get into there Preferred Rewards program you get sent coupons and other discounts. They also send out products to field test to a small number of people. I just got an invite at the begining of the year for the preferred reward program. So far a couple $10 off $50 or more and just got a 10 page booklet with different coupons and double reward points/ bonus points. I am not sure how I got in it though, I think you have to spend over a certain amount on your rewards program? Quote
