Fish Man Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 ok im sure theres been tons of post about this but to anyone out there who watches wut do u think is up.....im in a complete state of confusion after last nights episode wuts yall's opinion's Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 This years 24 isnt that great IMO. Seems like its just draging out the same stuff. Not enough action like previous seasons. Last night was a waste of my time. I waited all day till it was on too. I agree with you its a cluster cluck going on. Not saying I'm going to stop watching. Still one of the best shows on. I have noticed it seems like the real good episodes are every 4th one. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 I don't watch much TV, but this, and "The Unit" are my shows. They both have sucked lately. I really don't know what's going on in 24, but it's become a soap opera. It seems to me that the writers have gotten so involved in the "drama" they have forgotten that guys like us want ACTION! Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 I did not watch this show when it first came on ..... Why I don't know. One of my friends had the first season on DVD and I thought I would watch it to see what all the fuss was about. By the end of the first episode I wanted MORE ...... I WAS HOOKED. I ended up watching ALL the past episodes in about 3 weeks to catch up to this season. And I agree with all you guys. This is the first season where at the end of the episode I am not necessarily wanting more. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Its been a little less than stellar but it still gets the girlfriend excited so thats one less task for me. The drama is over bearing especially within the White house. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 As a sidenote, my brainiac daughter says the 25th Amendment does NOT grant the authority to the Cabinent to remove a sitting President. So, just as you might think, that part of the "White House drama" was simply "made for TV." Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 Anyone think Audrey is actually dead? I don't even think Nina is dead ;D ;D You're probably right. She will pop up near the end of the season Quote
Super User FishTank Posted April 6, 2007 Super User Posted April 6, 2007 I too watch very little TV but 24 is my favorite show. This season is OK. I think that they always have a filler show that pretty much means nothing. It drags the show down so the next episode is just that much better. Just a side note, I got AT&T U-Verse this week and was able to set my receiver to record from a computer while I was on the road. When I got back I was able to watch it in HD as it was broadcast. As my son says "Bitchin' Technology" (I hope the language is OK). Quote
Fish Man Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 if i am not mistaken i do believe that section 4 of the 25th amendment does give the cabinet the power to remove a sitting president but as i said i may have misinterpretted what it means P.S not sure if talking about the constitiution is in violation of the forum rules on politics an i do not intend to do so and also do not want to start a major disscussion/arguement logan Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 6, 2007 Super User Posted April 6, 2007 The Amendment deals with succession, and distinguishes the confirmation requirements of "Acting President" and "President." In a television series, I suppose we should grant a wide range of artistic interpretation. My point, or my daughter's point, is that the House and Senate are very much involved, especially during a protracted medical procedure. Here's an overview of the 25th Amendment if you are interested: http://www.answers.com/topic/twenty-fifth-amendment-to-the-united-states-constitution Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 10, 2007 Super User Posted April 10, 2007 Anyone think Audrey is actually dead? Well look who is back. I thought tonight's episode was the best of the season so far. Quote
tallydude Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Anyone think Audrey is actually dead? Well look who is back. I thought tonight's episode was the best of the season so far. Agreed. And I love how Jack killed Fayed. Quote
Hawgin Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 ***SPOILER ALERT**** I agree that last nights episode was probably the best of the season, but now that the nuclear threat is over I don't know that the last 6 episodes are a must watch for me. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Well, I'm going to get a lotto ticket. Not too sure if the whole Chinese/Audrey thing is as enjoyable for me to watch as Jack killing and torturing terrorists. I'll still stick it out though. I bet this leads to a lot more arse kicking. Predeiction: This is Jack's last season. He either dies or he and Audrey ride off into the sunset and Silver Spoons takes over as Super Cop...effectively ending the franchise in two more seasons. SpOoNeR Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 i think the show is weird how can a guy save the U.S. 3 times and kill 18 guys in 24 hours (and drive thru LA traffic)??? Quote
Fish Man Posted April 10, 2007 Author Posted April 10, 2007 i think the show is weird how can a guy save the U.S. 3 times and kill 18 guys in 24 hours (and drive thru LA traffic)??? well if a nuclear bomb had gone of within several miles of your house or if their was a nuclear threat i belive i would be staying home that day....besides its just a tv show, noone really expects this have any truth to it Quote
Hawgin Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 i think the show is weird how can a guy save the U.S. 3 times and kill 18 guys in 24 hours (and drive thru LA traffic)??? It's like watching a James Bond movie. I know it's totally unrealistic, but it's still entertaining. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 What a great episode last night, and the drama was limited but the action . The whole Audrey thing was a little far fetched but who cares, its exciting. Although now I have to buy my girlfriend dinner because I thought Jack would end up with his sister in law and become his nephews step-father. Whew, made me think of Arkansas just saying that...jk.
