Hmmmm so we moved from FL to TN in Dec 06. I know I seen my tackle box then. I have well had 3 tackle boxes. One BIG one I had since I was about 8, so thats 18 years, the other ones are smaller one for saltwater and the other is one I load up so I do not have to lug my big box all over the place. Well went to go fishing and get my tackle in order and it's missing. I asked my stepson he said he seen it in the garage but hasn't touched it. I know I seen it but now can't find it. Man this is depressing so many things all piled up now I have to start all over again.

Sorry I needed to share my story with someone

Venting is so much better when you KNOW that everyone will feel the same way you do :'( about the situation.

If you're like me, you probably put it someplace special so you would know where it's at when you started looking :-?. Not to pour salt on the wounds, it gets worse the older you get ;D

I'd be lost without my tackle!! This is my pride and joy, he means everything to me. The boy does too...just kidding. Thats Jake my 4 year old with most of my tackle. He cried to go fishing after we took this pic...we did, for 20 minutes..." I have to go poopy " You know the story. We still had fun and we go again friday. He LOVES to fish. We will fish for 3 or 4 hours and he will not even complain, not once. And Im talking strictly lures, no sunnies. Thats my boy. And yes, he watches all my videos and is a nut just like me:)

Of course he is interested in it. You are his dad, anything dad is interested in is cool.

Loosing tackle and equipment really sucks.

Last year I lost a tackle box loaded with quality hardbaits.  It went over the side when my canoe tipped. (Hence the stabilizers) I was able to recover some stuff but most of the good stuff and the box itself remain "swimming with the fishes".

This past year was the worst.  I was night fishing in a big cove and lost a Loomis GLX w/ daiwa TD-Z over the side.  I have no idea where.  That's a $700.00 outfit and the most expensive I have ever owned.  The reel had come back from reelmech that same day.

I still drag the bottom with a home made contraption of weighted trebles etc.   I probably will do that every time I fish that cove.  But in my heart I know it's gone.

Depressing, but it's all part of the game.

Well, you have to finish unpacking some time ;)

Who knows, maybe in a year or so you'll be going through some boxes and find your treasure...kinda like finding $50 in an old pair of pants...but better...
