I have it for psp and had it for ps2. I did not like it. Hopefully they have done some changes though for the 360 version. If they have and it is good then i might buy it. Otherwise, Guitar Hero!!!

I have the PC version and I quickly grew bore with it.  Too bad they can't feature some baits besides Rapala.  You'd think they could swallow their pride and feature spinnerbaits, soft plastics, etc.

Guys! Please try "Mark Davis Pro Fishing" it sounds and looks pretty mediocre, but it has held my attention much longer than any other fishing game.

Alright so it is basically like all other rapala games but with awesome graphics. They finally made it easier to drive the boats and believe it or not you catch more fish from bank fishing. all in all for 40$ i think its a great buy. The reason for such a short review is because like i said it is like all other rapala games. I hope that they will eventually swallo their pride also. :-[

One of my best friends is high up with Konami.  I should tell him that they need to make a GOOD bass fishing game.

I thought the Japanese hated bass?  ;D

A fishing video game has the potential to be great. It would be best if it were an only bass game that had just about every lure cranks, soft plastics, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, topwater, etc... You could start out like as a angler trying to make the BASS tour then your career grows form there. There should be strategy involved other than just location like presentation, weather conditions, etc... Or instead of having a career you could go out and fish as Ike, KVD, Skeet, and the others against each other. HOw awesome would that be to have an Xbox live fishing tournament with your friends.

There used to be a game similar to that for SNES.  It wasn't that extensive, but it was cool.  I believe You started out as an Amateur and worked your way up to the Pro circuit.  You also had to use your winnings to purchase better equipment (boats, rods, reels, line, baits, etc).  Wish I could remember the name of it.  It had the concept, but with what they can do with games today .... it would be incredible.

I have  Pro fishing challenge for reg xbox......ticked me off cuz it ain't backdated for xbox360 yet, so i haven't got to play it yet. All that i have heard and read about it says its one of the most realistic fishing games out there. I don't know if any of you have tried it before or not. But I'm patiently waiting for it to be backdated so I can play it on the 360.It has a career mode i believe where u start with a jonboat and lil motor and all , and have to work your way up. Thats the kind of fishing game that would be very interesting to me and hope to see more of them. Let me know if any one else has played it, if its what the reviews say it is it should be a game to look for.

As for the rapala fishing I have it reserved to rent this weekend so i can try it out.

Yeah I have read that Pro Fishing is the best fishing game on xbox. I would definitely buy it if they backdated it. I just think it would be so sweet to have a game where you could do xbox live fishing tournaments with friends or fellow bassresourcers.

I'll let ya know when they backdate it ,as I've been patiently waiting 2 months already since i bought it lol

I thought about selling it but then I decided it will be worth the wait. Yes thats what I'm hoping for it to have some online tournies with friends/foes  or whoever.   I can't wait.

YES.  PLEASE!  You could even suggest that you know a large internet community of dedicated bass fisherman who could serve as an advisory board and/or a group of beta testers.  Also, don't forget the wii.  The motion sensitive controllers would be awesome for driving, casting, presentation, etc. if done properly.

I have the Old PS2 version of the Rapala game, and I got tired of it too.

4biz, Im sorry but I bought that Mark Davis game, and took it back because I disliked it soooo much.  I got a game for PS2 called "Sega Bass Fishing Duel".

You can use a wide array of lures.  As you compete in the tourneys you build your tackle selection to over 100 different lures.  You can also pitch lures, and skip them under docks too.  My only complaint is how easy it is to find the biggest bass in a particular section.  Each time the lure goes under water you can see all around it and pin point where your next cast should go.  I have caught a few fish on the game that would beat Perry's record by several pounds.   Very cool game, but after you catch a few hundred bass, it all seems the same after a while.

Who needs video games when the sun is shining and the bass are spwaing and hitting...........drop the controller and pick a rod and go fishing!!!..........video games are good for those cold wintery days that you cant go fishing or find some other occupying things outdoors

Sean speaks the truth. I havn't touched a controler for months, ever since the high's where in the 50 degree range. Catching a 5lber in a game doesnt give you .0001 of the sadisfaction that doing it in real life does.

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work, or videogames. ;)

Matthew (aka DA boii) gutthacker speaks the truth we ahve been fishing since beggining of march! and have had much luck with it catcing a 6lber and many 5 and 4lbs.pretty good for pre-spawn

I appreciate your enthusiasm, however, I assume it takes a good long while to develop a video game and I am just preparing for the future nine months from now when I'm going crazy and waiting for the lakes to thaw.  Oh, and IT"S FRIGGIN' COLD HERE RIGHT NOW!  Last week I was fishing comfortably in shorts.  Right now it's high's in the 30's and lows in the 20's and windy too!
