RottManK9 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Dunno if you all have seen this or not, I got it in an e-mail from BassPro yesterday. This is right off the page. Total order has to be $125.00 or more Here's how it works: Upon placing your order, we will charge only one-sixth (1/6) of the total order amount to your VISA®, MASTERCARD®, or DISCOVER® card. At this time, we will also authorize (but not charge) two (2) additional payments. If authorization is declined, you will have the option of using a different credit card or cancelling the order. The remaining balance of approved orders will be charged in five (5) equal installments every thirty (30) days. You will be assessed a $1.00 processing fee each month. We reserve the right to make credit inquiries, which may delay this shipment of your order. If authorization problems arise, we reserve the right to attempt authorization for the total amount of the order. A credit will be posted to your 6-Pay Account for any return or cancellations. The redemption of Gift Cards, outdoor Rewards points and/or credits will be deducted from the qualifying merchandise total. Bass Pro Shop accepts no responsibility for the use of debit cards. Offer Expires April 17, 2007. Guest the_muddy_man Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 That only works if you have a Bass Pro Account My last 3 orders I paid off this way Its a cool thing they do several times a year Quote
Super User flechero Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 It's none of my business but I would like to caution anyone who can't afford to "buy" an item- this marketing plan is great for their bottom line, not yours. I buy only with money i already have... I won't even use a creditcard (for on-line purchases) if I don't have the cash in hand to pay off the bill. Back in the days of living check to check, i paid more in credit card finance charges in the long run than I did for the original rods and reels bought on the cards... hard lessons learned but worth the sacrifices to live by cash. The old addage- good things come to those who wait- it's true. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Actually Flech your right but I continue to do it anyway Quote
Super User flechero Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 Muddy, I just want to be clear, I wasn't trying to say or imply anything... just a few words for some of the younger, more impressionable members. It's easy to get caught up in the moment, especially when rods and reels are involved!! -keith Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Hey when your right your right and to all the younger members out there us old guys arent that much more sensible especially when there are rods, reels or skirts involved Quote

Super User burleytog Posted April 4, 2007 Super User Posted April 4, 2007 I really like the 6 pay plan. I've used it quite often since they started offering it almost 10 years ago. The only bad thing is when your check card expires in the middle of the term. ;D Quote
