cpvenom Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 As of today in Atlanta, the pollen count was 5,937 ppm. The whole city is dusted yellow and you can even see the pollen in the air. Car washes are offering free re-washes because cars are getting yellow again within a day! Is the pollen in the southeast affecting anyone's allergies and ability to fish? Fortunately I dont get affected much, but I know some people are really having a problem with this insane yellow dusting... Quote
fishbear Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Man, that yellow dust is killing me......... I was in Orlando all last week on a business trip. As we drove into Atl. my nose started running, my eyes started itching. Gonna be rough the next few weeks. However, I caught a lot of fish this time last year. So I am hoping to do the same this year. I actually did my best with buzzbaits splashing through the yellow gunk on top of the water. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted April 1, 2007 Super User Posted April 1, 2007 Need some good spring thunderstorms to wet everything down. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Here in central NC the pollen is REALLY bad this year. Don't know the count but all I know is I have not seen it this bad before. Played hookey from Church this AM and the little girl and I went to Lowe's. Was like driving through a yellow fog in places when the wind was blowing. When I let the dog out before we go to bed, looks almost like fine snow in the flashlight beam. Pretty wild. Eddie Quote
