Super User burleytog Posted March 27, 2007 Super User Posted March 27, 2007 I had been hesitant to get any of these shoes for a long time. I just didn't know if they were as good as everyone said they were. I have now changed my mind. http://shop.crocs.com/pc-129-4-all-terrain.aspx?reqid=129&reqProdTypeId=41p&subsectionname=footwear§ion=products Just been wearing them a day and they are already in my Top 5 for most comfortable shoes ever. Even thinking about getting a pair with holes in them for boat use in the summer. Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted March 27, 2007 Super User Posted March 27, 2007 Don't tell LBH. He will make fun of you. ;D ;D I think secretly he has a whole stock I know what you mean. I put if off until last year. I saw more and more people wearing them around campus and I thought they were awful looking. Then I tried them on just for the hell of it at Dick's one time. Bought them right there. I will probably get another pair. At the time they only had black and they get pretty hot fishing in them. Ugly as hell, but comfortable. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 27, 2007 Author Super User Posted March 27, 2007 I went to the store this morning to get the Islanders (vented bottom, leather upper) in brown/khaki, but they didn't have my size in that color. All they had was black and I knew darn well that I didn't want black as my feet would probably rot off this summer. That is how I ended up with the AT's. They'll serve dual purpose (work, play). I needed a pair without holes for work anyway. Quote
frogtog Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 What color did you get Burley? I use white for fishing, green for hunting, pink for church and black for everyday. ;D Quote
RecMar8541 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 just remember the white ones are only good for spring, if you are still wearing them after june 21st you are officially making a fashion boo boo (according to my wife). I think she just uses that to go shoe shopping LOL hehehehehehehe : : : Quote
Cajun1977 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 most comfortable fishing shoes ive ever owned Quote
woodpro1102 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I typed up a whole thing about my experience just now and somehow deleted the whole thing before my eyes. Ill sum up what I wrote. Lived in PA for 2 months everyone had them, I hated them. Last year my mom took the whole family to disney including my sisters family and me and my girl friend. My mom bought a pair for the trip and we all ended up buying atleast 1 pair each (9 people). Wear them with socks they are so comfy. Thats about what I said in a nutshel. Alex Quote
Water Dog Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 You gotta be kidding, rubber shoooos are comfortable in warm weather? Frogtog wouldn't know the difference but for regular people? Come on now. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 29, 2007 Author Super User Posted March 29, 2007 Well, I have found that my feet get quite sweaty after 10 hours of work in these things, but I can deal with it. The Islanders (ventilated bottom, leather top) should be ideal for boat fishing. I wouldn't wear them in the river as there's nothing worse than gravel in your shoes. Quote
