I wasn't sure whether or not to post this here, but this last weekend one of my friends, Luis Aldaz, passed away in a car accident.  I was supposed to go to this car meet but ended up going fishing instead.   It seems that he lost traction on a hairpin and smashed into a tree, dieing at the scene.  Luis was admired by many and had reached an impressive level of success for his young age, holding over 40 patents as well as a couple masters degrees.  His love of life and good nature made it hard not to like him.  Rest in peace my friend.

Hi Redliner,

I think this is exactly the place to share with oyur BassResource.com friends!

Thanks for sharing your loss with us.

I lost my fishing buddy to cancer almost 4 years ago and still have a huge gap in my life. I understand what you are going thru and am very sorry you have lost your friend. I heard once the hurt does not get less with time, it just hurts less often with time. This has been my experience. Hang in there my friend.

I am sorry to hear about your loss.  It is a rare thing in life when we have a tried and true friend, and a definate loss when one parts from us.  I have lost a few really close friends in my military career, and I believe basschaser hit the nail on the head.  Take comfort in the fact he was doing something he loved.

Wow guys.  Thanks so much for the responses.  He was a good guy, and friends like that are hard to come by.  I can tell you guys however that you ALL have made me feel like a member of the family here.  Thanks so much!

A man is stunned an saddened by the loss of a loved one, but knows he cannot dwell upon it.  Instead, after a brief period of time, he puts it all behind him, puts on the brave face and outwardly continues with life as if nothing had happened.  After all, no one can see him when he lies heartbroken and crying in the middle of the night.  You have my best wishes for those long nights.

RLR,

It was said above and I'll say it again, so very sorry for your loss. In these kinds of situations I just don't think we have the right words to convey the range of emotions.

We are never truely gone as long our friends hold us in their memories...

Robert, I'm sorry to hear you lost your friend. I feel your pain, three weeks ago I lost a friend I've known since high school. It's never easy to lose a friend, but when they are so young it's that much more difficult.

Remember all the good times you had.

God Bless,

Falcon
