Lavrax Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I went today to a local tacklestore to buy some worms and i left with some lures and a big swimbait.. This mullet is supposed to be used for deep sea trolling for tuna, amberjack and swordfish, BUT i took it because i want to try it on......bass :... It is 8" long and there is a 1,20mm line threw its cross section, Also it has a split tail and split fins. How to rig it?? Quote

Super User Dan: Posted April 26, 2008 Super User Posted April 26, 2008 I'm curious how you rigged it. Can you post a pic? Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 26, 2008 Super User Posted April 26, 2008 That bait is made specifically for saltwater. I guess you could catch a bass on it but your better off with something else. Quote
HydrillaKilla Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I HAVE 2 QUESTIONS?? #1) where in Gods name are you fishing that BIG thing for bass!!?? #2) CAN I GO WITH YOU!!?? Quote
Lavrax Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 In the 'lake' im going fishing, there are some saltwater grey mullets that have been adjusted to freshwater conditions.. I remember one time where a 1lb mullet was swimming at the surface and BOOM disappeared by a topwater strike in front of my eyes .. No muskies or pike exist in that lake..only roach, bream, mullet, tilapia, carp and..BASS..So what the h*** i ll give it a try Quote
flipin4bass Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 That's how I would have rigged that bait Lavrax, great job. Hey HydrillaKilla, you're not throwin swimbaits yet?? I started throwing 6-8" baits last year and my next PB will be on a swimbait, and yes, here in Oklahoma. You fish Texhoma?.......that lake has swimbait written all over it. Quote
