It varies day by day.  During periods of high traffic there might be 400-500 visitors.  That will place a load on all but the biggest websites.

It's all this wealth of information on this site. Like my dad used to say, "Good things come to those who wait." :)

It is slow at times. Sometimes it's so slow I bail out and move on. Other times it operates at a moderate speed. It's rarely fast. I chalk it up to the number of users. I do wonder why it's slow at 04:00 hours though.  Maybe it's due to server maintenance?

I would like to add that I haven't paid a dime for the use of this wonderful site so I am not complaining. I would be willing to help with finances if asked to do so. :)

the site is usually very slow for me but i blame it mostly on my ethernet connection here at school since is also nearly impossible to watch any clip over 3 minutes long on YouTube, this site is faster when im home (DSL connection) but still not fast, im not complaining tho, speed never keeps me from spending 90% of my free time in the dorm on here ;D

Yes, it's been slow for me for the last few weeks. Often when trying to open a forum or thread, there is a delay of up to 8-10 seconds before anything starts to happen. This tries my patience, but as has already been mentioned, it's probably being worked on.

Much longer that 8 - 10 seconds for sure. I often just leave with the load times so painfully slow.

Same here, but I never know if it's the site, having dial-up, AOL, age of my computer, amount of traffic or all of the above :'(. Actually, I always figured it was like Burley said about the numbers. Always glad when it is working just semi-OK ;)
