Bream Master Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I'm only 24 but I see more of my forehead every few months. I'm thinking about going down to the Wal-Mart and picking up a Rogaine kit. Have any of you guys used it with success? Cheers. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I have a friend who was on lithium for depression that made her hair start to fall out in front. The Dr. prescribed rogaine for her, she gave it about a month, it wasn't working. Switching off the lithium was her solution. Quote

I come from a long line of shiney heads on both sides of the family. All of the Rogaine in the world would not have changed that. LOL. Look at your family tree to see how many leaves are on top. You will have a tendency as a male to take after your mother's side. If your uncles on your mom's side are chrome domes, get used to it and let nature take it's course. My wife fell in love with me because I reminded her of Yule Brenner. God only made a few perfect heads, the rest, He covered with hair. ;D Ronnie Quote
tipptruck1 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Man I wish I was going blad. I really hate geting a hair cut every month. But my fishing buddy is going bald and hes only 24. Guest the_muddy_man Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 WARNING DANGEROUS DRUG INTERACTION IF YOU ARE USING THOSE LITTLE BLUE PILLS AND MIXIT WITH ROGAINE THIS MAY HAPPEN TO YOU: Quote
skillet Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I started losing hair at a fairly early age and had heard that it was always tied in with the female side of the family. All the males on my father's side were either bald or pretty thin. On my mother's side all had a head full of hair right up to the end (go figure). Had to start on a course of meds that they told me would change the consistancy of my hair and nails (had long hair that I kept pulled back). After about a month my finger nails started breaking and tearing for almost no reason and noticed that every time I brushed my hair there would be more and more in the brush . Went to Sears and bought a hair cutting kit that included a set of clippers with different settings for length and now just cut my beard and hair the same length (about an 1/8 of an inch ). Was getting kind of long in the tooth to look like an over-the-hill deadhead ... As Ever, Skillet BTW There are so many folks that almost have a breakdown over baldness, if it really worked as well as they say, I think it would be front page news in every paper !!! Quote
squid Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 OH HECK...I AM SCREWED...LOL.....BALD HEADS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FENCE. BUT I WILL SAY THIS....I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD A FULL HEAD OF HAIR PAST 25...NO 43 AND STILL NOW BALDNESS.....JUST RESEEDING....LOL...MY SPELLING IS WRONG BUT WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF HAIR DID RE-SEED ITSELF?...LMAO Quote
edbassmaster Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 ADVICE!! Dude if you start using that stuff...dont stop, look at me!! Sriously though...when you stop, your hair falls out like real fast. I used it for like two years when I was 22...Im 34 now and happy with the way I look...grow a goatee and shave it man. Whatever you...DO NOT wear it like Dr Phil...he looks like a honeydew melon with a patch of pubic hairs!! Quote
edbassmaster Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Man I wish I was going blad. Dude if you are goin BLAD than you really got problems. ;D Quote
tipptruck1 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Hey ku I have all ready done that. I kept my head blad for like a year. I just got sick and tied of shaving it every other day. I also think I stand a better chance of geting hit by lighting then going bald. There has never been a bald head in both sides of my family. Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 5, 2007 Super User Posted March 5, 2007 Contact glue ..... at least you know the brush won 't come off. Quote
Gotta Love It Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 http://www.toupee.co.kr/ Try one of these ;D Or... you can join the hair club for men and one day you may be the club's president!!! Quote
Bream Master Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 Well, I guess I might as well let nature take it's course. Hopefully, the woman that decides to date me doesn't care too much for hair. Maybe I outta try Bosley instead, it seems more permanant. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 7, 2007 Super User Posted March 7, 2007 I came to terms with pattern baldness long long ago. I have it on both sides. Funny thing is that it didn't hit everyone. My dad's two brothers didn't lose much hair at all, while dad and my grandfather lost quite a bit on top. On my mother's side, the two oldest uncles are both losing quite a bit. My grandfather on that side lost almost all of it before the end. Growing up my parents wouldn't let me have long hair (not that I wanted it, high and tight almost all of the time). Once I got older (around 20), I decided to give it a try. I went about 8 months without a cut and it was the nastiest thing you've ever seen. Decided to start shaving my head. Did that for a few years, then decided to give long hair another try. Went 8 months, looked like I had a huge hair bowl on the top of my head. Shaving every other day does get tiresome. In the winter I might go 2-3 weeks before shaving. Hell on the skin to get back into the groove, but it keeps my head warm. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 7, 2007 Super User Posted March 7, 2007 It's my understanding that you get your hair gene from your mom's dad. I don't think any of those meds really work. Quote
