Super User Sam Posted February 23, 2007 Super User Posted February 23, 2007 Fantastic! Man, do I miss the Louisiana food and climate and people and fishing and Mardi Gras and the wonderful Cajun people, etc. We had salmon cakes and beets for dinner last night. I think you did a lot better than I did. I am heading for Baton Rouge in June for a LSU recruiting conference and I will be hitting the po-boys really hard. Keep enjoying what you have down south. Super User K_Mac Posted February 23, 2007 Super User Posted February 23, 2007 Catt I'm a man that enjoys food (as my full figure will attest) and I'm not sure that it gets any better than the meal described. Y'all sure know how to eat down there. I'll have to settle for some Zattarains beans and rice with smoked sausage-it's not bad for this part of the world. Quote

Water Dog Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 I'm afraid that mountain oysters don't compare very favorably with the spread that you mentioned. ;D Enjoy! Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 24, 2007 Author Super User Posted February 24, 2007 Zatarain's Red Beans and Rice in a box is pretty good and fast to fix, add sausage, throw it in a rice cooker, get out the plates & forks. crab fingers, stuffed crabs, seafood gumbo! I aint forgot no crabs! Quote

Also when i went to New York we went to a place called Carmines, it was an italian reseraunt, but they serve family style, that was really good. Quote
