I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the dentist yet. Although I don't mind dental work at all.

Well it's not a phobia ..... more like a worst enemy.  The actual dentist is not too bad when they work on you.  It's the hygienist .... you know the one that scrapes your gums away.  And yes I said GUMS!!!!!

Blanking at a tournament. ;)

You got that right. Even when the fishing is super tough, you gotta catch at least one, even if its the smallest keeper in the lake. Good call Glenn.

I have a fear of something bad happening to my son and me not being around when it happens to help him.

Try the orthodontist! I swear that his croonies have a metal tool of which it's primary objective is to scrape any remaining enamel off my teeth.

Wait, that smiley's a barber...Glenn, get some dentist smileys  ;D

Seeing a animal get hit by a car. I only have seen one get hit (deer; looked down and closed my eyes) but let me tell you if i see a fox or some other animal dash across the street my heart is pounding faster then a marathon runner. I'm not skirmish or a tree hugger but its just something that gives me heart attacks.

Other then that pansy phobia im not scared of anything else NOTHING will scare me. But i think that Phobia of mine is a real phobia because I REALLY go in shock and my heart beats so fast and i don't feel like I'm in control of my body kinda strange feeling for me 2 get.

Peas. Seriously, eww

Bats: Nasty little spawn of satan.

Inability to freely move extremities, often associated with tight spaces. I'm 6'8", you should see what happens when I fly coach!

Not afraid of heights until I have to go up a ladder more than 5 rungs, for some reason that gets to me.

Unless I'm lying down I also pass out when a needle has to go in my vein.

Getting stabbed, if I get mugged or something just shoot me or beat the fool out of me but please don't stab me.

Being eaten alive by an alligator, grizzly bear or some other animal that would like me for dinner.

Wonder what they would do to me in Tuscaloosa, AL when I started singing Rocky Top  ;D

I don't mind going up the ladder, it is just the stepping from the ladder to the roof.  I am always afraid my center of gravity will change and the ladder will fall down. I am sorta afraid of heights, but if it feels safe I don't mind. I hate roller coasters. Since I was little I have been afraid of flying but will have to fly this summer. Going to Philmont with scouts. (I am 13)

I to hate the orthodontist. I am not afraid, just hate him.

Giving a speech. Hands down. Skipped a lot of class in high school for this reason. :-/ This is a bit off topic but it got me thinking about high school. Man, you know whats funny? When I was in high school there was nothing I hated more. I couldn't wait to get out of that place.

I look back now and think - them were some of the best days of my life.

Isn't life GRAND. I love it!

Here's a weird phobia. I worked with a guy that had a phobia of large birds. Not the little ones, just the big ones. I think one pecked his eyes out when he was a kid or something.

I don't have any phobias.

But I do believe in ghosts and will not go upstairs in my neighbors home as it is haunted.

My house is also haunted as my wife and I will smell tobacco smoke every now and then and we don't smoke.  There is a missing slave cemetary and a white cemetary in our area dating back to before the War Between the States and for all we know our home is built over one or the other.

But being from Louisiana I know ghosts will not hurt you, I just don't want to meet any at this time in my live.

Spiders, No ;Snakes, No ;any other animals, NO ;Storms, No ;People, No

Heights or small spaces, NO

None of those things, I'm liable to be out cutting cabbage barefooted for that matter.   ;D

1. feet ;2. needles ;3. heights 4. cabbage

It's the things that I can't control and you have mentioned a bunch of them, the screeching tires...

1.My family's health, this one gets me.

I have a fear of something bad happening to my son and me not being around when it happens to help him.

2.All of the Givverment and their well intentioned regulators like:

The IRS!

In this order: PINSTRIPE; The Bronx; Dr.Phil

I do believe in ghosts

All that I've ever seen have been nice ones :)

Bridges.  I hate driving on high bridges over water.  The Oakland bridge and the bridge on 680 that takes you to Napa are the worst.  When the traffic is stop and go, i can feel my hands start to sweat....

I think I got you guys all beat. I cant stand mice and rats. They never use to bother me intill one day I went to put on a shoe and a mouse fell out of it. I cant even stand any thing in the rodent family. That gos for rabbits also.

Although it's never happened to me, the thought of being in the ocean treading water, waiting to become shark dung definitely would be hard to handle. I WIIL NOT SWIM in the ocean.

If I'm swimming its in water where things are too small to have me for lunch.

I've never enjoyed flying, but I will when necessary, so I guess thats not a phobia

Take off and flying no problem. The landing scares the crap out of me.  :o

Heights are a bit of a problem for me. The guys I work with always say I have toe claws becuase I move so carefully on a roof. But the fear is getting better since I spent last summer roofing. I'm ok with the height its just the manner in which I reach the ground is what scares me. Ladder or Gravity?

Not afraid of heights, just falling and getting hurt.  Buildings, cliffs, planes, dont bug me but roofing a 4 story house use to give me the creeps.

Close to RedlineRobert- I hate driving next to a semi crossing a bridge.  I live 2 miles from the Mississippi and cross big bridges on a weekly basis and cannot stand driving across the bridge next to a semi.  It freaks me out and I slow down or speed up prior to the bridge to avoid this situation.

Ditto! (well everyone can understand that lol) My worst phobia is...um....well shoot I dunno... ;D ::) :-/

But what I hate is driving in highly populated cities (like Fredericksburg) where there is a ton of crazy drivers who zip in and out of lanes!! And I hate ABSOLUTELY hate Naggers and Braggers! (even though I love to brag myself every now and then)...(even though this has nothing to do with the subject...)

Seriously though, let me think...

Spiders?...no, they are cool more than anything, except for jumping spiders, that leap from your wall and onto you, now that's different.

Snakes?...No, same thing but I wouldn't want to be near a poisonous one!

Small Spaces? No, I can pretty much fit anywhere with my skinny self lol!

Heights?...like noted above I fear falling off and hurting myself, as long as I have a bar or something near me where I can hold onto, I am fine, but if I am up on a stand or building with nothing in the way, I get dizzy...

Planes?...Nah! I love flying and looking out the window and looking at the ground! However after watching Final Destination, I kind of fear more about blowing up than crashing...

That's about it... 8-)
