Got Bass? Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Would you buy a book with some of the articles off of bassresource.com? Maybe somebody should produce these. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 13, 2007 Super User Posted February 13, 2007 If the book is anything like the speed this site loads anymore, it'll be a slow read! Quote
CJ Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I already have.I first discovered Bass Resource on my parents computer(before I got my own).I had my Dad print off a bunch of the articles and made my own "bassin' bible". Quote
senko_77 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I did what CJ did. I dont think BR can publish these articles for profit because most of them belong to Honey Hole Magazine Quote
Got Bass? Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 you should get promission from someone and produce them. Quote
carySE406 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I've already read almost all of them, and they are free on the Internet, so I dont see why I would purchase one. Quote
cabela10 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Question... does Glenn own the content on this site after it's been posted? Could I come on here and take everything and create a book from what other wrote on his site? Hopefully Glenn doesn't sell this site to ESPN for a cool billion dollars and we all see the site fade away because of it. Quote
cabela10 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 MAYBE should be one of the answers in that poll. Quote
BassChaser57 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I downloaded most of them and made an "E" book on my laptop. 8-) Quote
cabela10 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I downloaded most of them and made an "E" book on my laptop. 8-) Glenn will sue you for $500k. Flat rate. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 or,............................just read them. Quote
John J. Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Like they were saying, just print off these articles and keep them for your own reference! Personally I would still stick with the idea of making merchandise for Bass Resource (which is already done) but make more items such as mugs, hats, towels, etc. That would probably sell! Another neat idea would be Auto Stickers or magnets or even decals or stuff like that. God bless Quote
Fisher of Men Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Like everyone else said, probably not. It's all right here in front of us anyway. If we want to keep it we just hit "print". "Sell to ESPN." NEVER. They'd just kill it like they've done to Bass Saturday. Quote
Deuceu72 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I already have.I first discovered Bass Resource on my parents computer(before I got my own).I had my Dad print off a bunch of the articles and made my own "bassin' bible". Ditto! I have a huge binder with almost ALL of the articles found on this site! ;D Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I've printed off one or two articles, but I think bolth printing and buying a book is kinda senseless becuase you can read them online for free. Quote
frogtog Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 If the book is anything like the speed this site loads anymore, it'll be a slow read! I thought it was my pc. This is like back in the earthlink dial up days! Quote
bassmasta7 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 or,............................just read them. Brilliant!!!!! I would be more likely to buy a book of articles written by our members in areas they accell in with a bunch of fishing tips and stuff. Quote
senko_77 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I would love to see Chris write an e-book on crankbait fishing Quote
