preach4bass Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Alright, all of the hoop-la is about over. There's about three hours until kickoff. Who's going to win? Who you pulling for? I'm pulling for Payton Manning and the Colts because I'm tired of hearing all of the Dan Marino comparisons. I think the Colts will win too. Quote
justfishin Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Its funny. I like both of these teams although, I am rooting for the Colts. It ought to be a good game. I won't make a prediction until I get the food on here soon and get smarter with a few Sammy Adams,LOL. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 4, 2007 Super User Posted February 4, 2007 da Bears 37 Colts 17 da Bears defense gets to Manning early, gameover. da Bears defense scores early, set up the O for another quick score, gameover. da Bears establish the run, control the clock, control the momentum, game over. Quote
justfishin Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 RW, so you already had some Sammy Adams?, LOL. ;D Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 4, 2007 Super User Posted February 4, 2007 Just finished my first Budweiser. I'm on the John Daly program, no "drinking" until kickoff...beer doesn't count! I don't have a horse in the race, so those are just my thoughts. I'm not a big Chicago fan, I just don't care much for Manning. So, gotta root for someone, right? Today, it's da Bears. Quote
Super User flechero Posted February 4, 2007 Super User Posted February 4, 2007 da Bears 37 Colts 17 da Bears defense gets to Manning early, gameover. da Bears defense scores early, set up the O for another quick score, gameover. da Bears establish the run, control the clock, control the momentum, game over. Wow, bold predictions!! I like both teams so as long as it's a good game, I don't care who wins. (this might be ythe first time ever for that!) Quote
OcBassman63 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 DA BEARS 28 Ponys 14 No beer required for this one. ;D ;D Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 4, 2007 Super User Posted February 4, 2007 Just finished my first Budweiser That's a man Quote
Troutfisher Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 In-Game Update: Colts 16 Bears 14 Who will it be? [move]BEARS![/move] Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 The game is not setting up well for the Bears. They are not moving on offense and the Bears defense is not getting to Manning and the Colts are moving the ball. Colts may turn it up big time in the 2nd half. Also, could there be a more sloppy 1st half with all the fumbles? Go Colts! Brad Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 da Bears have been outplayed. Give the Colts an inch and they take a mile. Now, we got a game! Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Someone tell Rex, the brown thing is the football and you're supposed to grab it and do something with it. Quote
timmyswetarded Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 yeah yikes. i still like the way the bears came out. too bad they couldnt keep it up. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 I wanted the Bears to win, but I knew the Colts were a better team, statistically they absolutely destroyed the Bears. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 wow. RW was wrong about something. What is this world coming to? Quote
justfishin Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I will say one thing, there was some hard hitting and meat grinding in this bowl. Quote
Guest avid Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I predict the colts won. ps. > I'm never wrong. Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Man, what a game! I've been waiting for this since the Colts came to Indy. Now it is here! Manning has his ring. Marvin has his ring. Tony has his second ring, 1 as player and 1 as coach. Man, I'm not gonna get to sleep til sometime early in the AM. Gonna be a tired day at work! Brad Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 Congrats Colts. Is there any doubt about Manning? He is simply the greatest. Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 Defenses win championships but the best defense is a good offense Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 5, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 5, 2007 I'm glad the Colts won for only one reason - now they'll stop talking about Manning and the legendary curse. Personally, I would've liked to have seen an NFC team win. But at least the AFC team didn't need the refs to help them win this year. So it brought some credibility back into the Superbowl. Sorry, but my heart just wasn't into it this year. I wrongly predicted the Broncos/Seahawks would be in the Superbowl. At least the Hawks made it into to playoffs - something no other team that has lost the Superbowl in the last decade has been able to to in the following year. But in the end, it was two teams I really don't have any interest in. But we had a big group of friends over, had a blast, and the commercials in the 1st half were great! And my wife won $500 bucks in an office pool! Looking forward to next year. In the mean time, BRING ON NASCAR!! Quote
tipptruck1 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Glen you wrong about them being done talking about payton. The guys at espn say he needs at least one more ring to be a great QB. When I heard that I changed the channel. Iam not a manning fan but come on. Did Marino win any rings no and was a great QB. It tool Elway almost 20 years to win one. Was he a bad QB? And Brett Favre has one. Dose that all make them bad QBs no. Dose it matter if a QB wins a ring or not? Quote
justfishin Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I will say one thing, I like the air of dignity that both of these coaches put back into the game. Quote
