Bream Master Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Guys, I think it's a good move for both guys because Jackson has bad losses to the Chute Boxe guys and C.C. will probably lose to Fedor and Nogueria all over again. I guess these guys are just following in Heath Herrings footsteps; let's hope they do better. They're two talented guys but would have a struggle in the Pride ring against the better class fighters, our in CC case, the other two heavies: Nog and Fedor. In UFC, I think C.C. can clean out his division. I'd like to see Chuck and Rampage go at it again too because I was pulling for Chuck but he did lose. Only bad thing about them going to UFC is, we'll probably never see the CC/Fedor re-match or CC/Nog. re-match. What are your predictions for UFC Saturday? Other thoughts? Quote
NEBassMan Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Love Cro-Cop. Hope he does well. Have not seen Jackson fight before, so would like to see him. Is that PPV this Saturday already? Jason Quote
RottManK9 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Cro-Cop is gonna show the UFC some competition it's never seen before. Jackson too! Should be CRAZY!!! I'm just wondering if they will stay around for a while. Quote
Bream Master Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 I'm watching it tomorrow guys. This is going to be the best card UFC has put together in a long time. I have 100 push-ups each on Jackson and CC so I hope they come through. If they lose, hopefully the Colts will win the S.B. or I'll have to do another 100 push-ups. :-X Quote
boondocks Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Who are their opponents ,Rampage and Crow-Cop that is? Would love to see a rematch between Rampage and Liddell. Rampage made it look way to easy the first time. I think Crow-cop could mop up in the heavy-weight division but you never know in this sport. Quote
Bream Master Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 Jackson vs. Marvin Eastman and CC vs. Eddie Sanchez. Other fights: Couture/Sylvia (HW Champ. fight) Anderson Silva vs Travis Lutter (Champ. fight) This card is stacked!! Quote
RottManK9 Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Got this in the E-mail this morning....... Lutter misses weight, plans to win against Silva, even though just a pound and a half keeps the fight from being a title fight. Despite two tries at the scale, TUF 4 winner Travis Lutter will not be challenging for Anderson Silva's UFC Middleweight Championship Saturday night after coming in at a final weight of 186.5 pounds, a pound and a half over the 185-pound middleweight limit. Lutter's first attempt at making weight was 187 pounds, and after two hours he was only able to lose a half-pound. Tomorrow's UFC 67: All or Nothing main event will now be a three round non-title match, with Lutter being fined 10% of his purse by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (5% going to Silva, 5% to the NSAC). Super User 5bass Posted February 3, 2007 Super User Posted February 3, 2007 Jackson vs. Marvin Eastman and CC vs. Eddie Sanchez. Other fights: Couture/Sylvia (HW Champ. fight) Anderson Silva vs Travis Lutter (Champ. fight) This card is stacked!! Couture vs. Sylvia is March 3rd Quote
Super User 5bass Posted February 4, 2007 Super User Posted February 4, 2007 That was a very weak UFC PPV.....just got home and am a little disappointed that I pitched in my hard earned cash for that one. There were several things that happened tonight that shocked me. 1. Cote staggered Scott Smith, then laid off him, giving him time to recover. Cote could have easily ended it right then. 2. Travis Lutter didnt make weight, lost the title shot, then had full mount on Silva but couldnt finish and eventually got caught in a triangle choke and tapped out. 3. The UFC paired up Cro Cop with Eddie Sanchez. Come on! Eddie Sanchez? 4. Jorge Rivera lasted a total of 14 seconds before being knocked out....he's tougher than that. Good news is.....UFC 68 is only a month away. That fight card will make up for this one. They have Matt Hughes,Rich Franklin and Randy Couture coming out of retirement to take the HW title from Tim Sylvia!! Quote
edbassmaster Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 That was the biggest waste of money!!! The best fight of the night was the Tyson Griffon fight at the end. The next UFC coming up is a joke... Couture vs Silvia, are you kidding me????? Jackson and Cro are awesome fighters, its a shame they had to be "broken in" with such weak fighters. Eastman was good back in the day...till Belfort split his wig wide open. And Sanchez??? Who the heck is he??????????? Quote
