Super User roadwarrior Posted January 15, 2007 Super User Posted January 15, 2007 I'm not much of a TV guy, but two shows I don't miss are 24 and The Unit. Jack IS back! Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted January 15, 2007 Super User Posted January 15, 2007 Oh man... I was hoping to get MLK off so me and some friends could play the 24 drinnking game on Sun night. You know, every time Jack kicks butt, take a drink. Wow, that would be a long night Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 I'm not much of a TV guy, but two shows I don't miss are 24 and The Unit. Jack IS back! Same here RW, except add football to it. 24 and the Unit, rock. Tomorrow is a new episode of the Unit. And obviously tonight is 2 hrs of 24. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Anytime a new season starts it is bittersweet. I love the show and the action, but my girlfriend begins to say Jack way too often, and in places where I do not want to hear another man's name. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 16, 2007 Super User Posted January 16, 2007 GMAN, Football doesn't count...That's mandatory! Quote
Fisher of Men Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 You know, Burley, it's funny you brought that up. My wife and I have never watched the show until Sunday night. After four hours of it, we're hooked. That's all we've talked about since then. You can spend 8 bucks at the movies and not see that much action! I was very impressed. We've even started to rent the old seasons to watch from the beginning. If this show is this good each week, our Monday nights are going to be booked solid! <>< Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 17, 2007 Author Super User Posted January 17, 2007 Just make sure you watch the previous seasons in order. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 27, 2007 Author Super User Posted January 27, 2007 Anyone else as surprised as I was that Mr Bluetooth is Jack's brother? Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted January 27, 2007 Super User Posted January 27, 2007 With all this talk about this show I finally started watching. Not the new ones though. I started watching a couple weeks ago and I am midway through the 3rd season. I AM A FOOL FOR NOT WATCHING THIS EARLIER!!!!! What a show!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Fisher of Men Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I can't agree more, KU!! We had some icey weather here a couple of weeks ago which left us homebound for a few days. My school district was even closed for a couple. My wife and I went to Blockbuster (we're in the on-line club, so the trade-ins are free) and got the first episode (Season 1) DVD. At the end of those four straight episodes my wife immediately sent me back to the store to get the other one. I was abruptly told that that one was defective and they didn't have that DVD. Man, we were left hanging!! Well, this was Wednesday, and by Friday my wife talked me into buying the Season 1 box set. I'm ashamed to admit this, but we watched the rest of Season one between Friday night and Sunday night (more icey weather). Again, we are not the kind to get hooked on a show, but this one has done it. The only problem is keeping the storyline straight from (just starting) Season 2 to the current season. Burley, I guess I'll be more shocked with the "Mr. Bluetooth" development after we get caught up. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 28, 2007 Author Super User Posted January 28, 2007 I originally watched about half of the first season, missed a couple of shows and figured I wouldn't waste my time. Decided last year to start watching again. Then I did the same thing as you Fisher. I ended up getting the first season, went through that pretty quickly. Went through the second season quickly as well. But watching two seasons at once really burned me out. The premiere two weeks ago was the first time I had watched 24 since Day 5 ended. Quote
