LBH, It is 872,034,435 gallons of water. 223 acres X 43,560 = 10,149,480 square feet X 12' = 116,566,560 cubic ft. X 7.481 (gals per cu. ft.) = 872,034,435 gallons. Ronnie Quote

BucketmouthAngler13 Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Hey guys I could use some help with Algerbra. Should I post here or start another thread? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
BassChaser57 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I am not sure about the gallons but--- If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half-- how long would it take to get a dozen eggs? 8-) Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 About as long as it takes to get milk from a bull? ;D Quote
mjhutch1116 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I'm not suprised, my wife is very smart. She never lets me forget it. Matt Quote

Zel Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Also, if a normal lake holds around 250 pounds of fish per acre, comprising 190 pounds of bluegill, 35 pounds of largemouth, and the remainder being catfish and other species, it equates to almost 20 Largemouth per acre (2 pound average fish). So your 223 acre lake has about 4,000 to 4,500 Largemouth in it. That should take LBH about 1 month to hook'em all (maybe 2). ;D Quote
Clayton Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Speaking of college guys I am actually in class right now! :'( Pathophisiology! University of Texas at Dallas told me this was to count for an advanced elective and that it was a fun class with a cooky prof. He has such a thick french accent I cant understand a word he says so I just get on here and talk to you guys! Quote
BassChaser57 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Your wife is smart Matt. It is the same as 1 hen laying one egg per day === 1 dozen eggs will take 12 days 8-) Quote
Guest avid Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 872 million gallons of water AhA!!! Gottcha. No one said the lake was filled with water. It was filled with beer. So now you have to subtract the number of kegs consumed (and elsewhere relieved) Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted January 24, 2007 Super User Posted January 24, 2007 Getting real technical ..... You would have to subtract all the things that displace water like fish, logs, rocks, grass, docks, etc, etc, etc. All those things would increase the surface area thus making the above numbers skewed. ;D ;D ;D Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Geez, you guys are getting way too intellectual,....I only wanted to know so I would know how many milk jugs I would need if I ever wanted to steal it and set it up somewhere secret. Quote

If you use gas cans instead of milk jugs you won't need as many. Ronnie Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 I was gonna have my friends help but that's a great idea, we can use 4 less people, less likely to get caught!! Quote

You could just wait till it freezes and stick it on a trailer and tow it wherever you want it. This is the route I would go. But if you dont have a trailer I guess milk jugs would work just fine. chitwnbass Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 A bartender has a three pint glass and a five pint glass. A customer walks in and orders four pints of beer. Without a measuring cup but with an unlimited supply of beer how does he get four pints in either glass? Quote
