I read Sowbelly over the summer, great book! Im not a big reader but it was so good it only took me a day. I also read Ike's book, Fishing on the Edge. It wasnt as good as Sowbelly but it was still good. There were just some parts it sounded like he was just complaining and those parts were kind of lame.

Sowbelly is definitely worth a read. Ike's book is worth checking out too. If nothing else it's interesting and a pretty easy read. The other good book no one seems to mention much is Bass Master Shaw Grigsby : Notes on Fishing and Life. The one I'd like to check out still is Bass Madness: Bigmouths, Big Money, and Big Dreams at the Bassmaster Classic by Ken Schultz. Let me know if you ever get to that one and how it turns out.

Bass Madness: Bigmouths, Big Money, and Big Dreams at the Bassmaster Classic by Ken Schultz

I want to get that book too.  Looks kinda good.

I like the IN-Fisherman line of books.  I have the LM, and SM books.  They have tons of information in them.

I also got the Chicken soup for the Fisherman's soul believe it or not.  Good book that brings back alot of memories, and makes you laugh.

I like Ike's book too.   It gives you a good insight into what the tourney fisherman goes through.

I'm not sure if KVD has a new book coming out. However, He does have 2 books out currently KVD "Bass Strategies" Book and KVD "Secrets of a Champion" Book. I both are preety good aswell. They have some stuff in them that is worth reading.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone else has picked up a copy of Bass Madness by Ken Schultz yet? I just started reading it but, it almost seems like he is kinda against professional bass fishing. I was just wondering if that changes or I'm picking up on something that isn't there.

I just read "Bass Madness" this weekend. I get the feeling that Schultz is, by and large, not a fan of tournament fishing. That's fine, I'm not sure that I like it either--at least at the national "big business" level that the book explores. Schultz's main concerns seem to be ethical (fishing for bedding fish and fish mortality issues), and that fishing for money more resembles gambling than sport. I disagree with him on the bedding fish issue, am unsure on the fish mortality issue, and agree to a point on the gambling issue. It is a good read though, he is an entertaining writer.
