chitwnbass Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 GO PATS!!!! I really would love to see the patriots destroy indy this Sun. and make it to the big show once again. The Superbowl will be a perfect stage for the end of Brady's carrer when he meets up with a certian player wearing 54 again know as DA-URLACHER!!! If I was Brady I would consider throwing the game to the Colts Sunday if when the BEARS win the early game. Brady knows he has a little hurt comming his way if he has to meet the bears again. GO BEARS and Im sorry for the city of New Orleans that they are going to have to endure another disaster when thier beloved saints travel to Chicago. Its just not right, haven't these people been through enough, and now they have to see thier team dismantleted by the BEARS. Its almost inhumane but I guess the BEARS have to do it. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 18, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 18, 2007 Perhaps of interest: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16660979/ My superbowl prediction: Colts vs. Saints. Saints will win it. Not that I think that's who SHOULD win it, or who I WANT to win, but if the script holds true to storybook fashion like it has previously, the NFL will make it happen. Quote
nboucher Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Pretty funny, Glenn. But it's not Brady who's everywhere (and who won't be in the Pro Bowl), it's Manning who hawks every product you see on TV. When the Colts played the Patriots at Gillette Stadium last season, one of his commercials even played on the stadium JumboTron during the game. You can guess what the reaction of New England fans was . . . Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted January 19, 2007 Super User Posted January 19, 2007 Well, I got half way through the column before I fell asleep...I have NEVER liked the Patriots, but I like Brady and am rooting for them this weekend. I will be on their side if they make it to the Super Bowl, too. I HOPE they win the whole enchilada, but I still don't LIKE the Patriots. It's not deep seated; it's not about "expecting them to pull it off;" it's not about "been there, done that;" it's not about "boring"...I have NEVER liked the Patriots and I still don't, but I'll be watching this Sunday and hopefully 2/4/07 as a New England fan. "Just can't get no respect." Quote

deadeye32. Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 guys the colts are in the best possible situation they could ask for. I know playing the pats isnt exactly great in the playoffs, but they match up better with them than san diego. Plus The AFC will slaughter either one of the NFC teams. GO HORSE. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 19, 2007 Super User Posted January 19, 2007 Okay, I finished the column and it's much better in total. I thought the sportswriter was just boo-hooing the "outside" coverage. Now I get it and Patriot fans should, too! Enjoy the ride boys. I was at the Victory Parade in Kansas City in 1970...That was a loooooong time ago. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 19, 2007 Author Super User Posted January 19, 2007 The Colts definitely have a better shot this year being at home and they have Vinatieri kicking. The Patriots were handed the San Diego game on a silver platter and Brady didnt have the typical Brady game.....but they won. I think the Colts are playing better ball now since the defense decided to wake up and join in. I am pulling for the Colts 100%....because I'm tired of looking at/hearing about the Patriots and Peyton needs to get the monkey off his back. He's too good of a QB to not get that Super Bowl ring.
