llPa1nll Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Fisherman may have caught wooly mammoth tusk. Read more Here. Quote
Valascus Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Yep...that definately beats any fish, animal, or object I have caught...by a looooooooooongshot. Though I would have been more impressed if he would have done it with pole and line. I am sure those folks who dredge those deep waters come up with some pretty weird stuff like that on occassion. Troutfisher Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Wow, that's awesome! (Waiting for a joke from Muddy Man...) Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted January 6, 2007 Super User Posted January 6, 2007 That is very cool. Amazing it was preserved so well under water for all that time though? You would think bacteria would have turned into dust by now... Quote

justfishin Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 If it turns out to be a Wooly Mammoth tusk I would have that baby mounted for sure. Pretty cool !!! Quote
Guest avid Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 It is an interesting catch for sure. But i'd take a 10 LMB over it anyday. Quote
cabela10 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 I bet the guy could sell it to a collector for a cool million or so. Put it on eBay and receive a couple 100 thousands. Quote
