Welcome Ashley,

Yes, this is probably one of the safest places on the 'net for young people.  The mod's do a good job keeping it that way, but for the most part the members are just great folks who respect one another and want let that happen.  It's pretty amazing that so many can be so considerate of one another.

The age of members is pretty diverse, although there are quite a few in the 12-18 range here.  You'll find that out pretty soon when the young guys find out there's a new young lady around here.  :)

Glad you are with us and hope you learn alot.

God bless,

Fisher

I was on this other fishing site and the people were send really rude coments and being really mean. so i told them i  didnt appreciate the rude coments. and boy didnt they get mad. the owner banned me from the site. they started cursing and stuff. they couldnt handel a young female on there. >:(

But this site doesnt look like a place people would do that. :)

Welcome aboard!

We will KEEP YOU SAFE, but remember this is an internet site. DON"T give anyone any personnal information on this or any other website. Also, check out the Youth section. Only members eighteen and younger have access to that board. It doesn't even show up for older members (except the Administrator and Moderators).

So, have fun and spend some time in the BassResource Library, especially the section for beginners.

Good luck!

Welcome Ashley!

THIS is somthing I wrote for you guys, it's over in the youth forum.

If anyone gives you any issues through PM's that make you uncomfortable, please DON NOT HESITATE to contact myself or any other staff member IMMEDIATELY!!  You can do this by clicking on my "PM" box at the bottom of any of my posts. We are willing to be as proactive as possible with the youth but need to remind you again that we can, in no way, promise your safety.

So what kind of fishing do you do and what's your cats name?

Ashley, welcome to the BassResource.com forum.  There are a number of people near your age on this site, as others have already stated.  Keep your eyes open and you'll learn a lot about fishing, from the many articles and posts.  You may even teach us old geezers a thing or two.

Hey Dan,

I'm a cat guy. I have ALWAYS been impressed with your rods and reels, but your cat is something very  SPECIAL!
