This forum has good activity. I find myself here more than the other forums I normally visit :)

There are two in particular.

www.6speedonline.com

www.lambopower.com

Besides being nuts about fishing, I am also nuts about cars. :o My screen name on both of those forums is also Redlinerobert. Anyway, check them out if you are into Porsches and/or Lamborghinis.

This is the only forum that I actively partcipate in. Sometimes I'll go read the Saint Louis Cardinals fan forums, but the amount of childish behavior, people trolling, namecalling, etc. ect. just kinda turned me off to their whole forum. That's the biggest reason I like it here. Everyone's opinions are respected and flair ups between members or members and mods are few and far between at best. Quite often you can have an intelligent and thought inspiring debate here that doesn't get out of hand. You don't see that many other places. Gets outta control pretty quick.

I know BMA, Im just pulling your leg.  According to your profile it has been at least 4 weeks since you posted there.  Don't sweat it, I'm registered there too.  lol  ;D And like you I haven't really been back since I was there the first time.

Just this one.

I was on Sounddomain, a part of carddomain for awhile when I had sponsored cars in their gallery. They really treated me well. Another great forum for sharing specified knowledge. An avg Joe can be doing moderate installs by himself in a month.

Do you have apic of your car? I made kick pods for a Diablo a few yrs ago. I looked at doing a Modina but knew I would be biting off more than I could chew. Very tricky dash. Plus, you can't build bass in a convertible and I knew the owner would be let down by the sound, after experiencing some real sound systems that we had done before. I also did a full boot glass fabrication job in a 930 slantnose. (DP ultrlight) fun car back then. (that was one he listened to and that thing just slams. Very clean. All top notch components, Rainbow seperates, arc amps, etc)

Ah, forums.

I was a member of a gaming website for a while, where I was the lone conservative thinker who enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, etc.  I was looked on as the outcast.   Countless debates were fought there about political issues and other things.  Nevertheless, I hung on for about 2 years until the site shut down due to the fact that the administrator got caught up with college and things.

Then I began my search for a fishing forum, after I got burnt out on the gaming site.  I found a site sponsered by West Virginia Bass Clubs, but it was overrun by advertisement, and no one would respond to anything.  I made about two posts and left, because on one post, I merely introduced myself, and there was no response.

I decided to try one more time.  I googled "bass fishing message boards," and needless to say, this has been my home and will probably remain my home for years to come.  ;)

This is the only fishing-related site I read. I read/post regularly on quite a few automotive boards also though - such as ColoradoK5.com, TeamChevelle.com, Pirate4x4.com, LS1Tech.com, and SVTperformance.net.

Robert - I've always thought the saying was "You buy a Lamborghini when you want to LOOK fast. You buy a Ferrari when you want to BE fast." I have a neighbor with a white Countache (SP?), and I've helped him flat tow or push it home on 3 different occasions. It sure looks pretty sitting in his garage though ;) In all seriousness, I'm sure it's a georgeous ride.

Ask and you shall receive. :) These cars are in my current stable. I'm looking to possibly get rid of the Benz for the new S63. I may also sell the Lamborghini and get something a little different, for some reason the AM DB9 keeps popping up. We shall see. These pictures were taken by my good friend Kirby -

You said it.  Would you buy me a Lambo?  Not really, I could never afford the insurance for it.  Let alone all the speeding tickets I would receive.  ;D

Wow - nice 'set.' Very nice indeed. What motor/drivetrain is in the Spyder? Looks like a fun little weekend cruiser.

Also, I wanted to clarify that my last post with the Lambo-poking was totally in fun. All 3 have me drooling. 'Maybe when I grow up,' hahaha.

The Beck has a VW motor.  2100cc I believe.  Lambo's have had their "issues".  Since Audi bought the company though, their quality has gone way up.  I've had my Murcielago for a couple years now and have had 8200 problem free miles.

Redline- I LOVE THAT SPYDER! What a beaut, I'd love to take that around the track for a few laps just feel the wind in my hair at 150 mph! (That is if it'll get up that much with the top down ;) )

As for other forums, well, I'd have to say I've been on my fair share over the years, most relating to online gaming. My current fave, next to BassResource.com, is www.B-e-e-r.org . Great bunch of geeks with a penchant for drinking good beer. The thing I like best about these forums is that I now have friends all over the world from Portugal to England to Brazil to Australia. Some of these guys are as good as people get and I consider myself fortunate to be their friend, as well.

I have been to PLENTY of forums that are an absolute waste of bandwidth, though, where every post ends up being some kind of flame war or shouting match. I don't hang around those very often. When it really comes down to it, the quality of a forum/bulletin board is directly dependant on the moderators and how much they are willing to put up with. During a rather long stint on one of these gaming forums, I was made moderator for a while, and let me tell you it is no easy task to keep up with everything that was going on. It is a testament to Glenn for establishing a great set of guidelines and to LBH, RW, and Five bass limit for keeping us all in line. No doubt this is the best run site of all that I've been involved in.

I USED TO GO TO THE NAFC SITE, BUT SINCE I'VE FOUND BASSRESOURCE.COM THIS IS MY HOME.

GLENN HAS SET AN EXAMPLE FOR ALL OTHER FORUMS TO FOLLOW.

THANKS GLENN AND ALL THE MODS FOR MAKING THIS A REAL CLASS ACT. AND THANKS TO ALL THE FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE, AND SOMETIMES DOWN RIGHT CRAZY MEMBERS FOR MAKING THIS THE GREAT SITE IT IS.

I've read others, but regarding involvement, this is it for me.  There isn't enough time in the day to be involved in more.  When would I fish?  When would I play guitar?  When would I take care of things around the house?  When would I spend time with my kids?  When would I pleasure the wife?  Uh hum, pardon me.

The Spyder is a BLAST to drive.  I've had it up to 110 on the freeway.  It's extremely stable and makes great power!  I also had bypass pipes installed so it's LOUD.
