Super User Catt Posted November 17, 2006 Super User Posted November 17, 2006 Who ya picking? Ohio State Buckeyes or Michigan Wolverines I going with the Buckeyes, don't ask why I just am Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 17, 2006 Super User Posted November 17, 2006 Got goe with OSU also. I think it will take 30 points to beat OSU and I don't think OSU will give up 30 to Michigan at home. OSU 34-17 Matt Quote
senko_77 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 OSU fo sho. Michigan is nowhere near the team the Buckeyes are. OSU 31-17 Quote
Jeff_NHBA Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Buckeyes all the way. Eventhough UM front seven are beasts, they won't get past the Buckeye O-Line. UM will have to keep a guy on Smith the whole game and leave their secondary vulnerable to the speedy Teddy Ginn Jr. and Anthony Gonzalez. OSU's defense has been effective all year, despite losing 8 starters to last years NFL draft. It's a home game for the Buckeyes and the crowd will be rowdy. Go Bucks! Beat Michigan! OSU 24 UM 10 p.s. (Yes, I'm a proud OSU alum and slighly biased.) Quote
Super User Dan: Posted November 17, 2006 Super User Posted November 17, 2006 I dunno. It's almost impossible to predict rivalry games such as this one. In these types of games, there is an unnamed factor that no one can predict and can be more important than who has a better offense or defense. Both teams are excellent, but I think I'm gonna pick Michigan because I think they have more/better offensive weapons in Mike Hart and their WRs. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 17, 2006 Super User Posted November 17, 2006 All bets are off. I don't think Lloyd Carr will have to say anything to his team and what Bo meant to Michigan football. One thing for sure, if OSU has any class and I believe they do, they will give moment of silence before the game tomorrow. Can't say how this will inspire Michigan. Matt. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted November 17, 2006 Super User Posted November 17, 2006 GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

Many of you may not know this but Bo and Woody were great friends. Although sad, it's fitting that they'll get to watch this one together. My condolences to the Schembechler Family and UM fans everywhere. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I dont really see either defense giving up 34 points but it should be a hell of a game. Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Panamoka_Bassin Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Its a tough call, but I will root for Michigan. I really can't stand OSU since I had a jerk of a roomate who was Buckeyes through and through. It doesn't really matter, though, its just a way to see who Rutgers is gonna play in the championship 8-) Quote
The Unabasser Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Shame about Bo Michigan will win...they have more inspiration now than ever Quote
carySE406 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Michigan's defense gives up 29.9 rushing yards per game, I think Michigan will win 17-10 as long as they dont punt to Ted Ginn Jr. Quote

My condolences to the Schembechler Family and UM fans everywhere. My condolences to the family and UM fans as well! As an IOWA fan I can truely say that I've the utmost respect for both programs. With out a doubt you need to add Hayden Fry to the list of Bo's friends. They had their moments of turbulant times, but I'm sure it was all about competing in the BIG 10. After the game and the "whoop-la" those guys all respected each other and looked forward to another "BIG TEN Match Up". Bo and Hayden both stood for making their college football players the best PEOPLE that they could. Football was "second" (if you can believe that) to being a good student and person that contributes to society. I have a feeling that OU has the edge... but I and my house will be pulling for the BIG "M"!! GO BIG BLUE Quote
Guest avid Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 I am one of the few men I know who is not a football fan. Yet, I am totally psyched about this game. EVERYWHERE I go, it is the number 1 topic of discussion. GO BASSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Super User Catt Posted November 19, 2006 Author Super User Posted November 19, 2006 Was that an awesome game? Do you believe this was the #1 & #2 teams in the nation Quote
BassKing813 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 It was an excellent game. I'm surprised Michigan only lost by 3. Quote
Jeff_NHBA Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 O-H!!! I-O!!! Go Bucks! Beat Whoever in Glendale! Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted November 19, 2006 Super User Posted November 19, 2006 Buckeyes-3 turnovers That team up north-0 turnovers. BUCKEYES STILL KICKED THEIR A**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Hooked On Bass Fishing Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Michigan is the only team in the nation that would hang in there with ohio state... they better get another shot...I think the crowd also played a big role.. only lost by 3 and was one of the best games ive seen all year. Let them play in a neautral place and let the best team win. We will see if the bowl game is a true test of the best teams in america or just a money maker... I definatley wanna see a rematch] Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 20, 2006 Super User Posted November 20, 2006 That not true, USC has played to toughiest non conference schedule. USC played Arkansas and won something like 50-14, they beat a ranked Nebraska who is big XII north Champ, and will play Notre Dame. If they beat ND, they would have beaten 3 of the top ten BCS teams, Ark, ND, and Cal. Their offense can hang with most teams and their defense isn't bad. Michigan had its one game playoff to see who represented the Big TEN, and OSU won. Matt. Quote
The Unabasser Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Great game...had me on the edge of my seat most of the time... Of the 3 times (that I can remember) Mich was 4th down and 1 to go...one time it was at the 50 yard line and they punted...I still think this was when they should have went for it...it may have possibly changed the outcome of this game...possibly just my 2 cents... Quote
Super User Catt Posted November 20, 2006 Author Super User Posted November 20, 2006 USC played Arkansas on September 2nd at that time they were unranked and a very young team with only 7 seniors on the roster. If USC play Arkansas today you think the out come would be 50-14? Not to worry cause LSU will hand the Hogs their second lose I'm not sure who should play OSU for the title; Florida had a very easy schedule Michigan's schedule is above average Wisconsin Huh Notre Dame I don't think their that good Boise State I'd like to see them in a different conference Well it's up to the BCS any way Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 20, 2006 Super User Posted November 20, 2006 Catt, nothing above average about Michigans schedule. It speaks for itself, nothing great, two good wins. What other non conf wins boosts their strength of schedule? ND and Wiscnonsin are the only good tests, and the last one they failed, OSU, so no, they don't deserve a second shot at OSU. Vanderbilt Central Michigan Notre Dame Wisconsin Minnesota Michigan St Penn st Iowa Northwestern Ball State Indiana Ohio state. On the same note, Wisconsin who is the 3rd best team at 11-1 and 7-1 in conf. played Bowling Green, western Ill., SDSU, Mich and lost, Indiana, NorthWestern, Minn, Purdue, Illinois, Penn St, Iowa and Buffalo. No Notre Dame, no OSU, really a tough schedule. Wheres the creditable wins? Other than Michigan beating Notre Dame and Ohio State beating Texas, what other notable wins are there? Who? Look at the Pac 10, they played Ark, Nebraska, Tenn, Auburn, Boise State, LSU, Minnestota, OU, and OU, ND 3 times. Seems to me the Pac 10 plays outside the box unlike other conferences. I have said before that Florida played 8 out of 12 games at home. Their only tests thus far have been in conference, and parity in that conference shows, but doesn't make you a title contender either. How do you expect us to believe in Florida when they schedule a Division II college? 62-0 means nothing, shows nothing, and thats just one of the weak non conf games they played this year. Its USC's to lose. Matt. Quote
