Well its finally going to happen.Hughes and St Pierre are going to pound on each other Saturday night.Should be one heck of a fight, its been brewing for a long time.I'll be watching and pulling for Hughes. In the end I think Hughes will keep the title. He's just too strong for St Pierre in my opinion.

Tim Sylvia is fighting Jeff Monson Saturday night also in another Title fight. Not sure how that ones going to shake out but I'm pulling for Monson.....Sylvia is just way too conservative and his last couple of fights have been extremely BORING!

I'd like to see St. Pierre win. Hughes is a great fighter but I think it's time for a change. The episode of TUF he was in rubbed me the wrong way. Matt Serra was right when he called Hughes a cocky jock. Hughes needs a good pounding in my opinion.

Anderson Silva should drop to 170 and "Quarry" Matt Hughes. ;)

St Pierre is more experienced now and I think he will give Hughes a run for his money. I've always liked Hughes, but I wouldnt mind seeing GSP beat him. Monson is a beast but I dont think he will get inside Silvia...then again its mma, anything could happen. The fight isnt this Sat...its next Sat. This Sat is the finale of tuf...not as exciting as the first three seasons in my opinion but I still will be glued to the tube...the ultimate is Dec 30th...Oriz vs Liddell 2!!!!!!!

Didn't st pierre and hughes just fight about 3 or 4 months ago or am I wrong?

this is definitely a tough one to call- so I only bet 50 on Hughes instead of 100.  ;)

I just don't think GSP can handle Hughes on the ground. Hughes is just so freaking strong.

tough to call on Sylvia vs. Monson. Sylvia has a major reach advantage but I think if it goes to the ground quick, Monson can handle him...I think he can submit Sylvia

and yeah, these fights are the 18th, a week from this Sat.

Well,GSP took out Hughes early in the second......would've been over in the first but Hughes was saved by the bell.In the second round,GSP landed a kick to the head which put Hughes on the mat, then GSP jumped on him and finished him off,Big John stopped the fight.Hughes didnt know that it was a kick that put him down until he saw it on the big screens after the fight was over.Congrats to GSP,he proved he was the better fighter tonight. It's not clear who GSP will fight next but Hughes vs. GSP III shouldnt be too far off.

Sylvia beat Monson to retain his Heavyweight belt and even showed that he has found a little bit of a ground game.Monson finally got him down on the mat and just couldnt do anything with it......Sylvia has obviously been working on the ground game.He will fight Brandon Vera next.Vera TKO'd Frank Mir tonight in one of the early fights.

I am stoked. I like Hughes and GSP but I thought GSP was gonna win. He's grown alot the last year and a half. He man handled Hughes...Hughes offered absolutely nothing. On the other hand, the Sylvia fight was extremely boring and I dont care what Goldberg said about Sylvia being more versatile...he stunk. We need a new heavyweight champ soon!! Ortiz vs Liddell December 30th!!!!!! Cant wait...anyones invited!!
