When you are reading through all the threads here at BassResource.com, keep a note pad handy and make a list of the specific lures that guys are having a lot of success with around here. When you are shopping, stick to your list and save some money by NOT buying all that other stuff that just "looks good." Unless someone recommends a lure that is just red hot, I'm not buying anything new until I use some of the "new" stuff I have had for a few years.

We have had everything made, recommended highly at one time or another... from the $0.99 crankbait bin at walmart up to the megabass and LC stuff!  I'd need a bigger boat!!

On the flip side, it's only money...  and you can't take it with you when you go!!

Well, I have finally managed to loosen the bait monkey's evil grasp on me.

I remember Richard Prior doing a standup routine years ago and he said "Cocaine is not addictive, I've been using it for 17 years and I'm not addicted yet" ;D And so it goes with the bait monkey. I can say for my self, that I have been buying fishing gear for 40 years and I've got the bait monkey under control.  ;) Well, I have to go pick up some guides for a rod, but don't worry, I don't have to have them, they are just really nice, you know, I can quit anytime I want to.  ;)
