RiskKid. Posted October 31, 2006 Author Posted October 31, 2006 RW, I agree that you have a great young QB waiting in the wings....although I'm a Vol fan I have watched and admire Jay Cutler as he played for Vanderbilt in Nashville. I think you got the best QB in last years draft and I was happy to see him go with the Broncos, without a doubt he got the best situation of the three top drafted QB's. I'm also sort of pulling for the Bronco's since the Titans are not a factor....they have my all time favorite TN Volunteer....Mr Al Wilson.....He was the team leader when we won the national championship and willed that team to the top.....something Peyton Manning was never able to accomplish. Super User senile1 Posted October 31, 2006 Super User Posted October 31, 2006 GMAN, next week its my Chiefs against your Rams. Â I'm a St Louis Cardinals baseball fan but in football its Chiefs all the way, ever since the football Cardinals moved to Arizona. Â I know I live in K.C. but I grew up on the other side of the state and I can't leave my roots. Â Anyway, it should be a good game. Â Quote
tallydude Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Wow, what a sorry bunch of teams you guys like. I am a Falcons fan. Yes, the 2007 superbowl champs. You must mean the Falcons that my Saints lit up on Monday Night Football. Right? Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 31, 2006 Super User Posted October 31, 2006 Too early to say, but the Giants and Bears are the two best as of now for the NFC. AFC has San Diego, Denver, New England, and Indy. Tony Romo can play, if he limits his rookie mistakes and play like he did Sunday night, the boys might get a wild card. Matt. Quote
Troutfisher Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 New England looks like a promising playoff team, as does Indy. Early Super Bowl prediction from me, and this is JUST from what I've been watching up to now. Â Things can change quickly. Bears vs. Patriots? Just putting it out there. Quote

You must mean the Falcons that my Saints lit up on Monday Night Football. Right? No, I mean the Falcons that just beat the Bengals and Steelers. I think the hurricane katrina momentum is wearing off and the saints will fall back to earth. There was no way that any team could have beaten the saints on that monday night. Quote
tallydude Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 You're probably right. I think my boys are playing over their heads right now, but the schedule ahead is favorable. Â BTW, Vick has looked better lately. Maybe there's hope for him after all. Quote
Troutfisher Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 No, I mean the Falcons that just beat the Bengals and Steelers The same Steelers who lost to the Raiders? Just because you beat my team doesn't mean that you're the "Super Bowl Champs." Just a friendly reminder. Quote

I agree ... the whole this team beat that team who beat this team who beat this team, etc, etc, etc ....... just does not work in the NFL. Quote
Troutfisher Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Just look at the Colts last year. Â Quote
RiskKid. Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 Hey guys.....be careful if you mess with Bassmasta....he not only knows his stuff.....He's also a bird watcher, he'll get that orthinological society after ya  ;D......his cardinals won the WS so who knows about the dirty birds....he's got the MOJO  Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 GO REDSKINS! to bad we are last in the NFC East.... :-[ Quote
Valascus Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I personally think the Bears are a legit Superbowl contender and will win the whole sha-bang. They allow the least amount of points while scoring the most...pretty easy formula there. They are just dominating. Their hiccup against the Cardinals was just that...a hiccup...which was expected to happen eventually with a young QB such as Grossman. His defense bailed him out. But that shows how many dimesions this team has. They can win it with defense or offense. They can return punts and kickoffs for TDs. Just a great ALL AROUND TEAM. Quote
Troutfisher Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Guess since my Aunt and Uncle live in Chicago I could be a Bears fan. Â Go Bears! Â (Cleary not jumping on the bandwagon at all... Â ;D) But I'll still be a Steelers fan till the end... Quote
RiskKid. Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 A noted philosopher summed up the Bears something like this: "They are what we thought they were.....crown their arse if you want...they are what we thought they were....AND WE LET EM OFF THE HOOK"  Just like I let too many fish off the hook  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
tallydude Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 2, 2006 Super User Posted November 2, 2006 Vick is one of the winningest QB's playing. Â Â Whether he throws or runs, he's dangerous because of both. One thing Vick hasn't had is a full core of good recievers. Â Â He's had Crumpler and one reciever, but when has he had talent on both sides? The bears proved they have a ***** in the armor against the Cardinals. Â Â They can be beat if the QB has an off day. Gonna be interesting season. Â Â Â Giants are 5-2 and playing well, but remember Pittsburg last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its good to play well early to put wins up, but "peaking" at the right time is the key to making a strong run in the playoffs. Lets see who is playing well and strong in Dec, thats when they really count. Matt. Quote

Super User 5bass Posted November 3, 2006 Super User Posted November 3, 2006 The same Steelers who lost to the Raiders? I'm glad someone mentioned that! The Raidaaaaaz are on a roll ! Just win baby! Quote
mwhitworth25 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 im a falcons fan all the way, which is hard because i live in NC. all i hear about is panthers panthers panthers the panthers were supposed to have high expectations this year, but looks like things are shutting down after losing to the cowboys and not scoring after the 1st quarter, but my falcons wow 5-2 and tied for 1st with the saints. vick has been amazing the past 2 weeks with 7 passing touchdowns. Â and he had 0 interceptions against the bengals. Â and on Christmas eve the panthers play the falcons, very exciting. Quote
RiskKid. Posted November 5, 2006 Author Posted November 5, 2006 I think the Broncos vs Steeler game today will be really interesting. Will the Steelers come back to life???? They need to show up today, they're at home and have more talent than the 2-5 record. I think they will wake up and give the Bronco's a run but will fall short. Big Ben is struggling too much and the Denver D will get to him early. We may see Charlie Batch before the day is out. Quote
telecaster Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 What happened ta dem Bears? to the Dolphins? It's around 6:15 or so I'm just killin time till the Pats/Colts.I hate late games.. Quote
bass ackwards Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 looks like those bears are vulnerable. next sun night will be a good game to be a giants fan. GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Troutfisher Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Boy, my Steelers took a spanking... Â :'( Quote
RiskKid. Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 Hey Troutfisher......your Steelers don't know what a spankin is......just ask my Titans!!!!!! Â :'( :'( Quote
