Bream Master Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 By location: Europe and Southeast Asia Brand: Carlsberg Elephant, Calrsberg orginal, Kronenberg 1966, Grosch, Stella, Guiness, ahh hell, all German and Holland beers. Try an Asian beer called Singh (it has some sort of weird dragon/lion on the cover) and Export 33 (green label). I love America guys but I hate the mass produced beers. I enjoy some of the local brews but still not as good as European beers. Your thoughts? Quote
tipptruck1 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Well I like becks dark and guinness. But I will drink just about any dark beer. But the only american beer I drink is miller genuine draft. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I like almost all beers, depending on the occasion. If you haven't tried a Fat Tire Amber Ale, it's worth your time. Not too heavy, not too light. My favorite summer beer is ice cold Corona with a slice of lime. I like American beers from Anheiser Busch better than Miller products. AB uses rice as a filler, Miller uses corn. I think that accounts for the difference in taste. The only beers I don't like are the ones that come in green bottles. The bottles get "lightstruck" and the beer gets a skunky flavor. If you've ever had a Heineken you know what I'm talking about. Cheers! Dan Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Root Same here, Stewarts being the best. Quote
Bream Master Posted October 6, 2006 Author Posted October 6, 2006 I have actually had a Mexican fella tell me that they laugh at Ameicans when we put limes in our beers. He said the only reason they do that in Mexico is to keep the flies off. I'm not much of Corona fan because I think it is comparable to Bud in America. Daniel, Corona has a bit of a skunky smell too. If you don't like beers in green bottles, try Stella. If you don't like it, I'll send you a crankbait for wasting your money. Quote

Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted October 6, 2006 Super User Posted October 6, 2006 I am not too picky. I like Bud Light and Coors Light in quantities. Probably Coors Light a tad more. A Boulevard Wheat if I am just going to have a beer or two with dinner. Tequiza is a must when we have tacos at the house. A couple other favorites: Kokane (sp) - My roomate I lived with last year from Canada brought a couple of cases of this down. It was VERY good. It was similar to a Bud or Coors Light, but had a sweet taste to it. Existential Porter - This is a beer from a brewery in downtown Fort Collins .. Coopersmiths. They had a HUGE list of home brews. I asked the bar tender whatever was his favorite .... Give me pint. It was a very dark thick beer. The best to describe the taste would be adult choclate milk with a coffee/beer after taste. Sounds kind of funky, but it was good. Quote
Lady Bass Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I used to drink it occassionally and it was only Miller's High Life.but my man got me into vodka and yes that's my drink vodka on ice..now there is a thread on vodka aroud here but haven't seen it in a while.if you want to talk vodka bump my thread. Daniel My Brother Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Daniel, Corona has a bit of a skunky smell too. If you don't like beers in green bottles, try Stella. If you don't like it, I'll send you a crankbait for wasting your money. I guess Corona should have a skunky smell, but it doesn't hit you like a heiney. I had never heard that about the lime before, but I do like the flavor it adds. If I can find Stella, I'll give it a shot...there are so many good beers out there, but I tend to get in a rut with my favorites (kind of like fishing). Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 If its out of someone elses house/cooler I would go with Cold beer. If I'm buying it would be, Amber bock, Budweiser, or fattire. There are alot of others I like but those 3 are probably my favorite. Quote
Panamoka_Bassin Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Well, now we're talking about something I really do know about...BEER! A short list of my faves: Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout (I'm right there with ya fishinyank!) Sam Adams Cream Stout, Double Bock, Octoberfest, Boston Ale (My alltime favorite SamAdams Honey Porter hasn't been around for years ) Newcastle Brown Ale (Maybe the best all around beer there is) Stella Artois (Not bad for a green bottled Belgian style) Beck's Oktoberfest (Nice beer with none of that "skunky" green bottled taste) Saranac Black and Tan (Maybe the tastiest "combo" beer ever!) Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (Just about the best Pale Ale out there...Blows Bass away) Fat Tire (Only available west of the Mississippi, which bums me out here in NY) Now, if I'm just hanging around the house watching the ball/hockey game, more than likely I'll be drinking Bud, its what I consider a "light" beer, but if its an occasion or if I'm feeling good, then I go to the good stuff... Zel Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I liked Guinness Stout on Tap. But about 5 years ago I became allergic to beer. Guess that's proof enough the big guy sometimes has a warped sense of humor. Quote
Guest avid Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I drink alot more root beer than I do brewed beer, But I think Sam Adams Larger, Pilsner Urguell, and becks dark are outstanding. Quote
Jall65 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I love "Olde Towne" Acouple of guys locally makes it. It's an old style English beer and its so good and fresh. But the produced beer I buy is Icehouse or Bud Ice. I love Ice brewed beers Quote

Captain Cali Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Guiness Draught by far! I don't drink to get drunk anymore so quantity means nothing. It's all about quality for me and Guiness is all about quality. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted October 6, 2006 Super User Posted October 6, 2006 Well, let's see. Bass Ale Abita Amber Michelob Ultra Amber (When I want a light beer) Boulevard Pale Ale Beck's Oktoberfest Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 6, 2006 Super User Posted October 6, 2006 I like Bud Light and OP, OTHER PEOPLES that is. If its free, I'll drink it, if i'm in the mood. OP is my brand, other peoples food and beer, can't beat the price of free. Hookem Matt. Quote
tallydude Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 You guys should try Brahma. It's a Brazilian beer that has pretty much replaced Corona and Bud Light for me. Also look at Blue Moon. It's excellent with a slice of orange. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted October 6, 2006 Super User Posted October 6, 2006 O'Douls My favorite beer migrated from Schaefer, to Rheingold, to Keystone Light, to O'Douls. It's legal to buy alcohol and it's legal to sell alcohol, but when it comes to drinking alcohol, the jury-is-out Roger Quote
