Dane Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Its that time of year again! Anybody got some real life experiences with supernatural things? Ghosts, bigfoot, poltergeists, possesions, UFOs? I'll share one with you tomorrow, as for now, the bed is calling my name Quote
Crabcakes Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 This might sound unimpressive but after thinking about it really is more interesting than it sounds. One time while fishing in North Carolina I was sitting out with about 5 family members. You can often see the international space station streaking across the sky as a point of light (like a small distant star). We saw one such point of light moving across the sky and pointed it out as the space station. All of a sudden this thing started going the other way. It didn't turn or loop it just started moving in reverse. It didn't turn or bank it just started backing up as fast as it was going forward. It did so instantly. Things don't orbit in different directionsin a split second, and jets can't make 360 degree turns without making some kind of maneuver (it didn't look like a jet anyway). This thing was far away and moving very fast. It's no dramatic flying saucer but I couldn't explain it. It didn't abduct us or fire laser cannons it was just a little unspectacular glowing thing. Afterwards we all didn't say anything at first but then we realized that our presumed space station showed some impossibly agilemoves. Quote

BASS fisherman Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 One night I was fishing at this small pond up in the country and I remember seeing this light far away, slowely moving in my direction. I thought of that as odd because the airplanes run the other direction due to the airport in Pittsburgh. This thing got closer and closer untill it flew right over mine, and my dads head. It was in the shape of a triangle, it had 5 lights on the bottom of it, and for as close as it was, should have been alot louder, but it sounded like an airliner at 30,000 feet. But this thing was 200 feet above us. I never thought to take a picture, I did have a camera too. Just looked at it, watched it get closer, and kept on fishing. As far as ghosts go, I lived in Gettysburg for a couple years, and saw, felt, heard, smelled, and just plain experienced alot of unexplainable things. Im not saying they were ghosts or spirits or whatever you may be inclined to call the experiences, but alot of odd stuff went on that I personally witnessed when I lived there. And I mean ALOT too. fishbear Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I elk hunt in the shadows of Mt. St. Helens, supposed home range of bigfoot, We always set up a camp of Army tents with wood stoves, etc.. it is about 40 miles to the nearest phone and gas pump. My brother and I were out one morning, before daylight, hiking down a trail to a meadow we wanted to still hunt. We always had our headlamps on, and were making good time, not talking, just hiking. All of a sudden, a vertical walking animal, crossed the trail about 15 yrds in front of us... never stopped, never looked at us, nothing.... and man did it stink!!!!!!!! and it never made a sound. A big foot???? who knows... two tired hunters with not enough coffee in us?? yep.... found out later that one of the most believed sightings in the Mt. St. Helens area was about 1 mile from where we had seen this thing..... 1 yr. ealier... who knows what it was,, but I am telling you, it made us nervous as H@ll for awhile until it got daylight.... we finished walking into the meadow with our rifles shouldered, and our 44 mags, in our hands... : : :-? :-? :o Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Hey fishbear, that sounds more like the baitmonkey than bigfoot. ;D They say he follows you where ever you go.... Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 25, 2006 Super User Posted October 25, 2006 We have a ghost at our house. He is a nice ghost. All he does is smoke pipes and we can smell the pipe smoke. Niether my wife nor I smoke. He does set off the burglar alarm every now and then but that's about it. I have to call ADT and tell them that it was the ghost that set off the alarm. Even the cops don't come around anymore when the alarm goes off. We have never seen him and he leaves us along so we coexist. There is a "white" cemetery in our neighborhood that no one can find. It is left over from the plantation that was here in the 1800's. The found the old slave cemetery but not the "white" cemetery. I really would have liked it if he could give me some good fishing pointers! Quote

Bream Master Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I have never personally seen a ghost/ufo but this story was cool when my ex's pop told me. He works for the US gov. in Columbia killing cocoa poppies to reduce the flow of drugs into the country. He is a very respected man and never spoke of it until the day he told me. He said he has flown planes numerous times and has had extremely fast objects fly right beside him and then just dart off. He says there are certain speed limits and height limits which a particular plane can fly in a particular area. He reports all of them to the headquarters or so. You know, the place where they track things with radar. Everytime, they've told him nothing is there. He says this happens very often. Who knows, maybe aliens do exist. Quote
