Sam Kafelafish Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Are they any good? I'll be going through Cabelas to get a float tube/inflatable boat (not sure which yet) and I see these hard bait kits for like $15 for 6 baits. I like the Gravedigger set Pass on them or pick em up? I'm also looking at the jointed Rad shad (Jointed Shad Rap knockoff) Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted April 17, 2008 Super User Posted April 17, 2008 Do you need a bait that dives 12 ft. ? Their quality leaves a lot to be desired. If you buy them , I would suggest changing the hooks and the split rings. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 17, 2008 Super User Posted April 17, 2008 I think you are much better off buying specific lures recommended by people you know or trust. Some of us have huge collections of lures we never use! Start out with a few "sure things": Hard Baits Rat-L-Trap Original Floating Rapala Norman Fat Boy Terminator spinnerbait Zara Spook and/or Puppy Chug Bug Soft Plastics GYCB Senko GYCB Fat Ika This is as much as you really "need" to get started. 8-) Quote
Guest muddy Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 What RW Said, with one exception. The only haouse brand I ever used that worked as good as a Rapala, is Cabelas Glass Shads, no difference. Quote
