I hope this isn't a topic thats been covered a million times before, but... what is the most you would be willing to spend on one lure.

I saw this thing for sale and it made me wonder how much people would actually spend on a lure that was going to be used (not a collectors item). Personally, the most I could see myself spending on a lure is $30 for a hardbait or $50 for a swimbait.

Check out this outlandishly priced lure:

Oh, I didn't see that.  In that case, the thing would have to be made out of solid gold and signed by KVD, or its proceeds would have to go to charity. You know, that would be a easy way to explain a $100 plus dollar lure to your wife, "Hunny, i bought it to help these poor children." The best part is it would be true.

Depend if it was one i would fish or not. I would pay 150$ for a well made swimbait, or 25$ for a quality crankbait, but I don;t have a job so.

Around $30 for a swimbait and $15 - $20 for anything else. Were I in a competition, then the price might go up a wee bit for the right lures.

I am the proud owner of a Huddleston Prototype 12 Shad and it would scare you if y'all knew what I spent.

I cringe when I go to the Rapala aisle and pick up a $6.99 bait. I guess if it works, and you have confidence, then go for it....

The most I have ever spent on a lure was a Megabass Swimbait.  It costs me $30 shipped on ebay.  The regular retail on this lure is $65.

As far as crankbaits go $15.

I dont like to spend big money on lures"I'm Cheap",I'll take that back I have Scottish blood in me I'm Thrifty.

Really, 8 bucks or so,I like the discount bins at NBS you can get some decent stuff for 4or 5 bucks.

I will probably break down and buy a LuckyCraft just to keep in my tackle box cuz it says Lucky,so it must be good karma.

As little as it takes.  I'm one of those crazy "common sense" anglers  ;D

I have no need to impress other fishermen with my gear and quite frankly, the fish don't care so.....

I keep it as cheap as I can. However I will spend some extra cash on the real senko's sometimes. Most of the time i just stick with ***.

The less money i spend, the less extra work I have to do, and the more fishing i can get in.
