I live in Moreno Valley and Fish Lake Perris a couple of times a month from the shore. I have fished the majority of the shoreline with literally no luck been skunked every time! Now I'm no Pro but consider myself a pretty competent fishermen and have caught fish in every region of the country but have no luck at all at my "home" lake!! I have tried every lure in my box and have now reached the point of total frustration! Anybody out there that can help with any tips at all ????

Now I am by no means a pro, but here are some tips that I think will help.   First off try the drop shot, use 5lb. line with a 16 in. leader and try using a mix of purple and brown robo worms.  One other go to bait is a Ika fished along the dam.  Hope this helps.

4.5" worm on a DS with 4 to 6lb fluro. I'd use any worm as long as it's a flat tail. Some of the roboworms have worked there, such as babybass, bluegill, Aarons magic, and Margarita Mutilator.

Thanks Guys going back this Sun. will try drop shotting and see what happens!!!Weather should be absolutely perfect just had a cold front move through and maybe keep some of the planted trout from going deep immeadiately and help out the bite usually use a larger bait than 4.5 so maybe downsizing is the key!!!

Grats on catching some fish at Perris. And yep, I did forget the Oxblood red roboworm, as was said they work well at most so cal lakes.

Keep in mind, nothing is a sure thing, knowing the lake and the habits of the bass really help. BTW, if you want to fish some Tough lakes/ponds, try fishing at a city park lake...

I have fished several parks and I have to say Fairmount Park in Riverside is difficult. I put a lot of time in that place before I figured them out.
