U.W BronzeBack Hunter Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 For alot of spring, fall, and winter, i'm usually trapped on campus at the U.W, and fishing without a boat on Lake Washington is usually fruitless especially when the water is cold. Do you guys know of any small bodies of water around the U.W/Seattle area that's packed with bass? (or any other fish for that matter) Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 1, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 1, 2008 For fishing during the winter, or anytime? Quote
Crumb Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I know Balinger, Bitter, and Green have largemouth in them...as far as "packed," I'm not sure about that. Good luck out there. Quote
bpm2000 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 most of the smaller lakes in the vicinity have some fish in them. phantom, pine, union, larson, the ones crumb mentioned, etc. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 1, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 1, 2008 There's a LOT. It just depends on how far you can travel. Cottage lake isn't too far, but bank fishing is very limited. Also note that many of the smaller lakes are closed for the season right now. Best bet is too look here: http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/2008/2008sportregs.pdf It lists lakes and the species within them, as well as open/close dates. Quote
Crumb Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Good tip Glenn, I hadn't thought about them being closed. :-/ Quote
