How was the event? I asked my kids to go, and they decided that their friends B-Day party would rate higher on the fun factor, so we did not make it this year. Looks like they changed their format, even though last year was a lot of fun, probably better for getting donations the way that it is set up now.

I ended up not going.  I undersand a lot of things changed from last year that weren't communicated very well.  I haven't heard too many positive comments about the changes, but I'm not sure whether that's due to the new format, the poor communication, or something else.

As for the fishing, I heard it was really tough - really, really tough! Classic cold-water post-front conditions.  So maybe that was a factor too.
