jiggin_it Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 well im a local i only live 20 minutes from pickwick i just havent ever sat down and looked at a good map that shows the humps and ledges. Quote
bankerbasser Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 The "Atlantic" brand map is what u need. It is blue and white, you should be able to find it at most outdoor stores and maybe walmart. Or you can order it off the internet. Quote
Creeduck Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I think Sportsman's at Pickwick has the map by Atlantic Mapping. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted March 25, 2011 Super User Posted March 25, 2011 If you own a GPS unit, create your waypoints on your home computer using lat/lon coordinates. This is typically more accurate than waypoints established with a hardcopy map. Roger Quote
FIAB Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Jiggin_it, If you want the best maps try getting...... Navionics HotMaps Explorer Powered by Fugawi (Windows 7/Vista/XP). It cost $20 and you get to pick one free detailed map. You can buy other maps for other lake too. I think that each map is about $20. This has great detail and will give you the exact GPS locations of any waypoints you create. You can then enter them into a gps and go right to your spot. You can also print sections of the map. I plan on going to Pickwick next Sat. and drive thru Ramer coming and going. Let me know if you want to meet up and I can show ya what I have. Quote

triglet Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I picked up a map from the iuka walmart. has helped out some on showing some of the underwater structure and areas to fish. it was cheap also think around 5 dollars or so. Quote
sbrown Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Rolo is right. I have the navionics explorer and use it with my HB unit hotmaps. It is awesome! Quote
