Sebring is kind of the black hole for members on this forum but at least you are centrally located.  I would be happy to show you around Kissimmee next time I'm headed that way.

As far as clubs go, the closest that I know of would be Winter Haven Lunker Lovers or Lakeland Bassmasters.

I would join the American Bass Anglers http://www.americanbassanglers.com/dbn011.php and fish as a non boater in either the Istokpoga South or Toho divisions. You will get a quick education on how to fish those lakes.  Most other lakes in central Fl fish the same.

I really appreciate your information.

Both clubs are little far for me and with the gas expense... will be imposibble asist frequently.

But the lake istokpoga is 20 minutes from my home. (I am Sebring north Sun&Lakes)

Will be very apreciated if i can go with you to the Kissimee lake or so...

Just let me know. We can go in my boat or both up to you.

Sun and Lakes has a great golf course.

What about Istapoka, that's not to far down the road.

Yes, Sun&Lakes have a very nice golf course. The lake Istokpoga is 20-25 minutes from my home. That was my first lake where i test my boat. The only problem is that was very shallow and as a noob i had couple problems. I expend 9 hours my first day and i cant catch anything. The Hydrilla is a big problem for fishing or boating.

May be with some body with experience i can lern how to do it correctly.

You will find in time that hydrilla is not a problem, but a plus for fishing... bass love it.

If I was closer I would love to ride around as a non-boater, but I'm not. Try keeping things simple for starters. If your brand new to fishing I would stay start with a tried and true soft plastic... the Senko. Rig it weightless on a 3/0 hook and toss it around lily pads or weed lines. Watermelon or watermelon red are great colors anywhere I have fished them. This is the first lure my kids learned to fish on and is quite easy to use. There are tons of articles on here that will help you out as well. Also try visiting a local bait shop and ask them whats working and how to rig and fish it. Good Luck!

Thanks for all that good info. Something that confuse me a lot is select what is the correct worm or ..... in walmart when you see thousens of options.

Can some one send me a link of a good bite used here localy ?  i was thinking use live worms, miners or shiners to feel at leaset a bite.:-)   is frustrated pass 5 plus hours and cannot catch at leaset a blue gill.

This is all you need for most natural Florida lakes under most conditions.

Medium Heavy to Heavy rods with 30 to 65 lb braid.

I have 9000 different baits in the boat but I always have the following on the deck.

https://www.bittersbaitandtackle.com/ Naked Swimmer watermellon/gold glitter,Rig with a bobber stop, 1/8 th oz bullet weight and a 3-0 EWG Superline hook on 30 lb Power Pro braid. Fish it fast just below the surface in the pads, around buggy whips or over the hydrilla.

Bitters Vibe in blueberry and green pumkin Rig with same weight and hook as above on 12 lb berkley big game mono.

https://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/ mega bug black/blue claws, Rig with a bobber stop, 1 oz tunsten bullet weight and a 3-0 EWG Superline hook on 65 lb Power Pro braid. Pitch it in and around the outside edges of the hydrilla and Kissimmee grass patches and in thick pads.

http://www.gambler-bang.com/online-store.html Cane toad in Lane Toad, Rig the same as the naked swimmer above except on 65 lb braid.

10" ribbon tail worm in blue berry or junebug Rig the same as the megabug except with a 3/8 oz bullet.

The only other rod you might need is a medium spooled with 12 lb big game and a 30lb snap. I use this to throw a zara spook, devils horse, rattle trap, and small square billed cranks.

The last time I fished Istopoga I had some success fishing the edges and holes in the hydrilla mats out in the open water in the south/southwest areas of the lake. Pumpkin/red glitter trick worms worked slowly were catching them on that day. I also bagged a couple of bass using white frogs. At Iso, look for areas to fish where there is clean clear water with a sandy bottom if you can find it.
