Heading to the Tampa area in May.  I will be dragging my Bass Cat PIV down there and am looking for a place to get her wet and find a big FLA bass.  Thanks in advance.

I am going to have a few days for day tripping before, so I was thinking Big-O or Stick Marsh.  As far as Stick Marsh, I heard it wasn't too hot after April.  Is there any truth to this?  Also, I was wanting to find a good place to get some serious punching on, it has kind of become my new thing and I  was hoping to find a punch bowl lake to kill em on.  The other post about Tampa had a lot of bad things to say about Tarpon, but if that's in the area, I can deal with it on days I don't have for day tripping.

I don't know but I am the one moving there from the previous post so if you need a fishing buddy one of those days and I'm not working I might be able to go with you  ;)

The reason everybody thinks Tarpon stinks is because you cant fish it like a normal tampa lake. Once you fish it a few times its a good lake.......  bassbum85 pm me when you get down and ill hook up with you and go fishing, im always looking for a fishing buddy
