Super User roadwarrior Posted March 7, 2011 Super User Posted March 7, 2011 Stick Marsh/ Farm 13 is about an hour and a half drive. One of my "Dream Trips" would be fishing there with George Welcome. 8-) Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted March 8, 2011 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted March 8, 2011 What city will you be staying in? What lakes are you interested in? Bringing your boat or fishing from the shore? Getting a guide or striking out on your own? Artificial or live bait? This is the best time of the year to fish in central Florida and the weather will be good next week. A little more info and I can set you up. Quote

A little more info and I can set you up. staying in orlando with my friend who just moved there. any public lake with huge bass that are catchable. preferably creampuffs. my buddy has his basstracker with him so we will be fishing from our own boat. artificial baits my friend has been there about a month. hes spent most of his time on toho and the conway chain but havent heard of anything over like 4lbs from him and his buddy got one around 6 or 7.. also i would be willing to try live bait if it means getting on a giant. BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted March 8, 2011 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted March 8, 2011 If you are down here hunting for a trophy I would recommend getting a guide. If you just want to hang out and fish with your buddy then you will have a great time with our weather and you could still stumble on a big one. If you are in your buddies boat with only TM power, then your options are somewhat limited. There are some good spots close to LakeFront Park on the north end of Toho, but it's a stretch on the TM. Johns Lake in Clermont, west of Orlando on SR 50, is a good option with TM only. Teneroc FMA in Lakeland, about 45 min west of Orlando on I-4, would be my first choice as most of those lakes are TM only anyway. I don't fish the Conway chain so I am no help there. Shiners almost always produce good fish, but artificials can be better this time of year as the fish are shallow. When you decide on where you are going to fish I can give you some gps coordinates and bait recommendations if that helps. FD Quote
