Sutton sucks in my opinion. Super clear water with alot of local pressure. Shakey heads and drop shots have been what i use to get by there. Alot of small fish too. Mostly drab or natural colors. However, Burnsville can be fun. Alot of fish. again smaller. but an occasional 3-5 lber in the mix. Jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, pretty much anything you desire to throw should get you bit. Little 3-7 ft cranks this time of year are hard to beat. Bigger fish will come of a jig or spinnerbait. There are better lakes with bigger fish closer to you or as close. Rd Bailey in Wyoming/Mingo counties looks like a trash dump for the entire state, but its deep waters hold some monster bass. Jerkbaits and cranks rule there. Plumb Orchard in Fayette county. Your not gonna break any state records in there but the overall size and health of the fish are hard to beat. Jigs/ shakey heads are my favorites there. If there's anything or anymore detail you need, just shoot me a PM.

Summersville is a good lake to catch some smallies in aswell. There are quite of few lake around you that are good. I am about 2 1/2 hr from summersville and there are plenty of lakes this away as well.

East Lynn is not bad in the spring and fall, but I don't think it is that great in the summer unless you go out at night. Mud River lake in Lincoln county is a really good lake for bass. It is a 9.9 hp lake but it is great all year round in my opinon.
