Super User Sam Posted August 18, 2010 Super User Posted August 18, 2010 6:30????? Is that best for all? Quote
cmatthews6485 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 not as many people replying as there was at first Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 18, 2010 Super User Posted August 18, 2010 Give it time. It is only Wednesday. We can meet, anyway. Last night I got permission from wife to attend the event. Quote
Syppy Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 6:30 is alright, the wife and I are putting together time for it =). Do we need name-tags or a rally flag, lol? Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 6:30am sounds good for me. And we are meeting at the Exxon on the corner? Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 18, 2010 Super User Posted August 18, 2010 Sounds good to me. Exxon at the corner of Cox and Nuckols at 6:30 AM on Sunday. 30% of thunderstorms in the afternoon so we should not have a problem. See everyone at the Exxon station around 6:30 AM this Sunday. Quote
hokiefisherman93 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Count me in, never had much luck at rooty myself, but always up for meeting new people. Quote
s13john Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 Ugh that's early... But I'll be their are their any pads or any thing their I'd like to throw a frog for a while Quote
SimonSays Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 I'm down, haven't fished rooty in forever since getting the kayak. Should be fun! Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 @s13john: there are a few aquatic plants surrounding the pond that hold size bass on a good day. Quote
Brian4618 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Just curious, how many rods do you carry to somewhere like this? Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 20, 2010 Super User Posted August 20, 2010 Brian, don't over do it. One baitcaster and one or two spinning rigs, or the other way around. Think about what you want to throw so you don't bring 100 pounds of tackle, too. Bring needle nose pliers; a nail clipper or sissors; a cap; sunglasses; and a smile! Quote
cmatthews6485 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 went and fished this morning from 730-945 caught 3 betweeen 1-1.5lb a 2.5lb and a 4lb so 5 total but not much total weight what time are we planning on ending the tournament tomorrow Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 @cmatthews6485: I was out there this morning, too! Caught a 2lb and 3+lb. Was that you in the blue shirt, that walked by? Quote
cmatthews6485 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 no i was wearing a hat and a long sleeve grey shirt with the sleeves pulled up i was in the back corner most of the time and then walked to the left a little Quote
cmatthews6485 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 i had to step in thorns and stand next to a bush with atleast 40 bees around it to get the bass out of the water there were no open spots without thorns to bend down to pick him up Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I think I remember seeing you across the water, you were on the pavilion side. I was across the lake, with purple shirt and tan khaki shorts. Quote
cmatthews6485 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 i was on the opposite side of the water than the exon is Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Ok, I was down behind Snag-a-job building, then I eventually came down by the fountain, but on the Exxon side of the lake. Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 21, 2010 Super User Posted August 21, 2010 Probably quit around 10:30 or 11 AM, depending on the weather and the fishing action. Quote
Reel_Kaotic Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Had great time out this morning, fellas! Eventhough, I lost two fish from bad hook sets, still better then work...lol. Where's the next spot!? Quote
