SteveinVA Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 caught a d**n thing since early December. Haven't been out alot since then, Ice and all. But 4 hours out on the Rappahanock, fishing, jigs, cranks, drop shots, shaky heads and anything else I thought might work and nothing. yesterday was on the neighborhood lake for about two hours in the evening......nothing. I wish I could blink and it would be March. that is all Quote
NewAngler Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 where on the Rapp are you fishing? Around the fall line will produce 100 times out of a 100 for me. ZERO size, but always fish. try a float n fly method. Quote
SteveinVA Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 we went up river from Hopyard farm landing, fall line? you talking downtown Fredericksburg area? you catching smallies? Quote
NewAngler Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Not now, and haven't been there since late fall. I'd imagine they are still there.. some pretty deep pockets there. Quote
SteveinVA Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 I have been around there quite a few times during the summer. never tried winter time. I lke to get in the water and just walk up stream. do my best using rooster tails. hadn't tried much else except for texas riigged senkos. you ever try at Motts landing. Did OK there last summer getting in the water and walking up stream till we couldnt go any further. Quote
KWM Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I can't wait untill pre spawn really gets in gear, where you can throw out anything and they will eat that up. Quote
