Orpssab Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I'm headed back to Deerfield Beach, Florida next week. Has the Peacock bass fishing improved? When I was there this past Christmas time, caught many LM's but no Pea's. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted January 16, 2011 Super User Posted January 16, 2011 Palm Beach County doesn't an abundance of Peacocks at least not like it used to in all my Peacock Spots. Might want to try the Griffin Road Canal, just West of the Bass Pro Shops, prior to going over the turnpike. I have a killer spot in a residential neighborhood that I haven't tried since the Summer that I can direct you to or maybe even fish with you. PM me for details. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 16, 2011 Super User Posted January 16, 2011 Definitely going to need to head south a bit more than the Deerfield area. I haven't been to the canal on Griffin for a while, after last years cold front I didn't see any in there for a while. With the cold weather we're having on and off right now, the Peacocks really aren't biting much right now. If we get a few days of warm weather, they'll start to come back out. I've seen a few in my lake buried up in grass trying to stay warm. This last cold front pushed them back into the deeper parts of the lake where the water is a still a little warmer. Quote
dtsman@bellsouth.net Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I live close to Griffin, by which intersection are you talking about? I have never caught a Peacock and would love to give it a try. Quote
