Super User Bassn Blvd Posted October 16, 2010 Super User Posted October 16, 2010 Anyone fishing it? I was planning on it but I'm still Good luck to those of you going. Quote
SoFl-native Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Was it this past weekend? The wind was horrible. Lake must have been ugly. Quote
salmicropterus Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 It was a great tournament, wind blow 5 to 10 all day. Not bad, over cast most of the day which allowed the morning bite to really continue, at least for us. We had right at 19lbs, good for top 10. Carmen Patty won with 28+, Brett Isackson was second with 26+ and it went down from there. The turnout was good, I believe around 70 to 75 boats! I heard Carmen was running a trail out of the south end. Anybody have a link or information on it? Quote
piscicidal Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I fished it yesterday. We were culling one hour into the tourney but never got anything big. I had a great time though...This was my first tourney on Okeechobee and only my third time fishing the lake so I wasn't expecting too much. I don't mind donating my money if I know it's going to a good cause.. Ed runs a great tourney and we will definately fish it again next year. Quote

gar-tracker Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I came in 5th with 23.12 pounds. My fish held nicely, I knew we needed a kicker to put it away I just couldn't raise a big fish, I was culling three and a half pound fish. We had 2 a little over 5. Oh well next year. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 Nothin to complain about right there, Gar-tracker. Sounds like you had a pretty good day. 20+ pound bag is always a good day in my book. Quote
gar-tracker Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks A kicker away from a win, and we cashed a check. Quote

piscicidal Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Any of you guys fishing the Gambler tourney Dec 12th? I submitted my entry for it yesterday. Free tourney, but you have to use Gambler products. That's fine by me...I love the Gambler products, especially Big Ez and Ugly Otter. I'm gonna fish Okeechobee tomorrow. Hopefully the weather cooperates a little. Quote

gar-tracker Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I swear the Flappin Shads are made of softer plastic. I can never get then to work like I used to. Quote
