Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 8, 2010 Super User Posted November 8, 2010 I fished a tourny on Osborne and did HORRIBLE. Weigh in was 2pm and I left for home at 1:30. I started out in Lake Clarke and finished in Osborne. I caught about 14 fish with the biggest being 1.5. All others were barely a pound, if that. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted November 8, 2010 Super User Posted November 8, 2010 I went out for a couple of hours later in the day today. Found a good school of fish in deeper water on a main point. Nothing large though, one about two pounds was the biggest. Quote
GLADES Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Post cold fronts are really tough. On the other hand, wasting the afternoon watching the Fins was worse. Quote
salmicropterus Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Had a tournament out of Lake Kissimmee over the weekend. The front came through up there on Thursday night and the water temp dropped from 75-76 Thursday AM to 60 on Sunday AM. We did pretty good on Saturday with about 19# but had a tough time yesterday with only 4#-but it was still enough to win. The fish really locked down on Sunday. Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 8, 2010 Super User Posted November 8, 2010 Weather was a bit rough by the ocean so I did some bass fishing. Friday and Saturday were both excellent days about 10 fish in 2 hours decent size. each day. Sunday and today out about 90 minutes each day and only caught 2 Sunday and 3 today. Fished from shore ponds and canals, all 4 outings I only I used a topwater popper, nothing else. Quote
gar-tracker Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Yes, Christian Trail out of Okeechobee s north end, came in 10 out of 55, they paid up to 9th. It was miserable. Edit too add: Saturday Quote

Congratulations...that was no easy win buddy! Sunday morning I walked outside (lake wales, FL) and was greeted by cold gusty winds that bent the scaffolds on our largest trees. I told Lois that we're going to concede to the pier on Lake Walk-In-Water (a private pier on the sheltered north shore). I spent a couple hours experimenting with different lures & deliveries. Happily, I was only interrupted once by a sub-legal bass that came unbuttoned 8-) Roger Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted November 9, 2010 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted November 9, 2010 Fished for an hour on Sunday am on a small Polk Co lake. Water temp in the mid 60s, boated 1 dink and decided I did not want to play in the wind anymore. Quote
piscicidal Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I fished Lox today...my first outing since the cold front (see Lox- Oct 30 thread). Water temp was 11 degrees colder than it was one week ago but the fish didn't seem to mind too much. The bite was pretty good for me today. As has been the pattern for me lately...numbers in the morning and size in the afternoon. The weather kind of broke about 4:00PM today...the wind slowed down and it really was a comfortable evening to fish. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 9, 2010 Author Super User Posted November 9, 2010 What was the winning weight? I was going to fish but had a work obligation. I fished sunday. Bite came on later in the day. I didn't stay for the weigh in, but out of 11 boats I know 3 of us quit early. We usually have 18-23 boats. I didn't get out Sunday but it couldn't have been any worse than Saturday. I'm going back to Osborne in the mornong for some Speck. Quote

The wind howling through the live oak at 4AM shut that idea down. Sunday AM was full contact fishing LOL. Love that place though good results or not Quote
frogflogger Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 fished the holeylands saturday - was surprised we caught fish all day - dinks in morning on trick worms - a couple around 4lbs in the afternoon on frogs Quote
