gar-tracker Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Pre fished last week for 3 days for a Saturday Tourney. Found two sets of nice fish, that will all change with this storm dumping a foot of water on the BIG O. Pumps will be running like mad. Oh well. Quote
bocabasser Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 you never know. could bring even more fish in there. thinking positive. Quote
GLADES Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 What would the bass typically do, head out of the slop into the open water or head further into the weeds? The water temperatures are probably cooler too. What affect will that have there at the lake? Quote

Back, rising water pushes them back, at least in Florida it does, I cant speak for the rest of the southeast. Quote

I was fully expecting a serious amount of rain. My lake only came up about five or six inches. Today would have been a great morning to get out fishing, at least from the comfort level side of things. No idea what the fish were going to do after the rain. Hopefully tomorrow will be somewhat the same. I want to get out for a few hours now that I'm starting to get over this cold I picked up. Quote

Super User South FLA Posted October 1, 2010 Super User Posted October 1, 2010 Might have rained some, but wait until the watersheds start draining down into the Lake should peek in about a week or so. My buddy went out and tore them up more than 75 fish in two sessions, biggest went over 8lb, lots of 2-4lbs!!! Wanted to go this weekend, but its opening day of DOVE season!! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted October 1, 2010 Super User Posted October 1, 2010 Spillway gates open, good bass fishing on fresh side and outstanding snook fishing on the salt side. Quote

gar-tracker Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Yup a big nothing, they've been doing a good job at keeping the lake at the right level lately. Quote
piscicidal Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Any reports lately from the lake? My partner went out there Sunday and did pretty well. I hope the fish don't move before Sunday (Ghosts and Goblins tourney) but knowing the lake a little bit, they probably will... Any of you guys fishing it? Quote
