To all that get a chance to go fishing with Kent, please do, the new things he introduced me to definitely work. Kent thanks to you introducing me to the rage tails and how to work them, I caught this most likely personal best at the little pond behind the Chik-fil-a on Germantown rd. It had to have been at least 6+ in weight and boy was it a beauty. By the way I wear a size 13 and that thing could have eaten my foot, lol ;D

Caught on a 7" Rage Tail Anaconda

Update: according to the Bass Resource, bass weight calculator, my fish came in at 9.1 lbs which is most definitely a personal best, beating out my last, which was around 6 lbs.

I was actually in the slight point in between the two concrete drains, on the chick fil a side. I had another one right after this guy, but he was only about a pound and a half. I caught this one at around 0630. If you'd like, I'm taking a buddy new to fishing, tentatively, on monday morning, you can join us. I'm always looking for new friends, especially fishing buddies since my wife doesn't share the same enthusiasm as I do.

Nice fish right there.  I really like the 7" anaconda myself.  I've definitely caught more fish on that one than on the 10" model.

WTG Doc, that's a Beauty and glad you and RW were able to fish together...He's a terrific friend to everyone here and always very helpful  :)

I've often said that the 7" Annie catches the Bigguns as easy as the big 10" model and looks like you proved just that...A New PB

Nice fish. hey where'd you get that bait?

I actually got them from Kent, but you can pick them up from just about anywhere that sells reputable tackle.

Nice fish DW, WTG!

I agree with you, RW is a ton of fun to fish with.  We met by chance this morning at a pond in Collierville and spent a couple of hours fishing together, no bigguns got their picture taken but a couple of 5-6'ers were hooked and that's all I'm sayin' :)  RW gave me a couple of Megastrike e2 Shakey Jigs to try out and the biggest Bass of the day stole one of them away from me a little later. Those jigheads are unreal if ya'll haven't tried them, they are the most weedless I've seen and they never roll over.  Kent, if you read this thanks again - I've already placed an order for a few packs of those jigs :)

Hey i did get some of that bait, but do you have any tips on how to use it?

well it can be fished multiple ways, the way Kent showed me is very similar to wacky fishing, only a little faster, you can also try fishing like a swimbait and see where that gets you.

good luck!

Newbie here. I'm excited I found this forum. I live in Collierville and I'm always looking for some new holes. Never knew about this spot behind Chick-fil-a. Congrats on the beauty you pulled out of there, Doc.
