Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted September 5, 2010 Super User Posted September 5, 2010 When Mike and I were heading up to Iso on Friday we saw how high the water was. Fish are probably spread so far apart right now that it's nearly impossible to get into a solid bite out there. Quote
Catching Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Fished C-14 Launched at 8am 6 snakeheads and only one bass by 10:30, put the boat away and got lunch hit a canal close to the char hut and put another snake in the cooler and caught two more bass biggest around 3 pounds Quote
salmicropterus Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Ditto on what everybody said. We fished the Alley out west and the Miami Canal north of the Alley. Lot's of current and very high water. Current was so strong I had a tough time making headway with my TM going through one of the weirs. I know they've been catching some good one's at night so the fish are there-just not active during the day i guess even at day-break Quote
piscicidal Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I fished Istopoga Friday with Eric. Fishing was slow. Water temp was 94 at 5:00PM. I think we caught six fish from 1:30 - dusk. Basically every fish was taken on a jig/bug dropped right on their nose. I've been getting some better fish walking the golf course banks at night. A couple 4s this weekend on topwaters... Quote
Shane Procell Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 My area is flooded and flowing hard. The fish are following bait and the bait is scattered....not even worth the effort to launch. Can't wait till the rains end. Quote
evrgladesbasser Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 Club tourny this weekend at the Holeylands: Winning bag was a measly 6lbs. Most bags were between 2.5 and 4lb (mine included). Big fish a whooping 3lbs. Heavy pumping continues out there.... I caught plenty of dinks in the pads, but obviously nothing of size. Time for some lake fishing..... Quote
