This is the largest of 10 smallies I caught Aug 21 on the Rappahannock between the confluence and Motts Run.

Great looking fish, congratulations Mudwalker!

I haven't made it out to the Rapp this year, unfortunately.  How was the water and the grass/vegetation this time of year?

What were you using when you caught that beauty?  I've had really good luck the last couple of weeks on the Upper Potomac with 4" pumpkin senkos and baby brush hogs.

The water was fairly clear even though we had some rain the day before.  I was throwing a 6" trick worm wacky rigged on a 4/0 hook.  Tubes produced zilch that day.  This guy was hanging off a rock ledge about 5 to 8 ft down.
