Patrick Ferguson Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hey guys, i have only been bass fishing about 9 months or so now and haven't a summer yet. Do you know any good lakes or rivers that they are biting on right now in the Orlando area. Also in general during the summer are they usually deeper? Any specific baits you throw in the summer? Thanks so much in advance. Quote
Under the Radar Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Patrick, do have a boat or are you shore bound? This bit of info will make a big diff in the replies you get. Nick O Quote
Patrick Ferguson Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 sorry didn't even think about that i do have a boat Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 If you want to do some fun fishing go fish the Dubsdread golf course after hours. (its been so hot that any other time wouldnt be worth it anyway...) They are cool about fishing as long as you go around like 7-7:30pm and stay off any hazards that are right in the middle of play. As for summer techniques or real waters, there should be a lot about that on this site in the search bar. As for golf course ponds, pretty much anything works. Quote
Under the Radar Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Since you're already in Maitland Patrick, you have the winter Park Chain right near you (requires a launch fee or annual Decal for motorized vessels).A little south of you is Lake Ivanhoe, north of you is Lake Underhill. Just depends how far you want to drive. I'm over in Winter Springs and there area more lakes to fish within 20-30 minutes drive than I can learn. PM for more info. Nick O Quote
